Huge congratulations to our students on completing their final year thesis defense! As a part of academic contribution, this year we spanned our student based projects across ground-source heat pumps, carbon markets, waste heat recovery, agrovoltaics, energy efficient buildings, thermal camouflage of vehicles, and EV driving cycle. Proud of their excellent work, and sincere thanks to our professors and evaluators for their mentorship and guidance!

We are happy to announce that we are adding new dimension to our research domain: Temperature Calibration Bench

Features calibration of:
1. RTD PT100
2. K-Type Thermocouple
3. Temperature Transmitter
4. Thermistor
5. Bimetal Thermometer

All falling within the range of -10 to 110 degree Celsius!

This was an effort initiated by our lab under Kathmandu University, Department of Mechanical Engineering with the financial support provided by EnergizeNepal Program.

We feel immense pride in sharing the commendable research our students presented at this year's University Scholar Conference.These works, conducted under various academic capacities from our lab, showcase their dedication and potential.

1. Development of system machine language adaptive regulation for thermal comfort (SMART-COMFORT)
2. Numerical study of low temperature geothermal for space heating application
3. Devising CFA methodology for metal and steel industries of Nepal
4. Comparative analysis of thermal signatures in powertrains for optimized stealth in covert surveillance vehicles
5. Modeling of energy efficient chamber and testing thermal performance of fenestrations

From a first-year project to a published paper!!! HUGE congratulations to our amazing second-year students Mr. Amshu Niraula, Mr. Rochak Dahal, Mr. Aadarsha Shrestha, Ms. Shrijika Malakar, Mr. Aaron Malla and Ms. Pranusha Shrestha for this incredible achievement!

Their research, presented at the CRHT - XII conference, has now been officially published in the IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science. This is a rare feat for undergraduate students and we are beyond proud!
