Did you know? Dinosaurs first appeared during the Mesozoic Era, which began about 252 million years ago. This era is often called the “Age of Reptiles” because dinosaurs dominated land ecosystems. It also saw the rise of the first birds and flowering plants.

Did you know? The largest time scale used to study Earth is the Geological Time Scale, divided into eons and eras. Modern mammals appeared during the Cenozoic Era, which began about 66 million years ago. This era is known as the “Age of Mammals” because mammals diversified and became the dominant land animals. Birds, flowering plants, and humans also evolved during this time.
