Was truly honored to sponsor the Autism Moms Teej Program 2083, organized in Kathmandu by Autism Awareness and Acceptance Group Nepal.

Seeing mothers of children with autism come together, connect, share their experiences, and celebrate with one another was deeply inspiring. These moments remind us that support, acceptance, and a strong community can make a real difference in the lives of families.

We believe this spirit should reach Birgunj too. We must create spaces where autism families feel understood, supported, included, and never alone.

A heartfelt thanks to Autism Awareness and Acceptance Group Nepal for honoring our representative at the program.

Not every quiet moment means everything is okay. Sometimes, stepping back is the way the brain creates space to cope.

Notice the change. Respect the space. Reduce the pressure. Reconnect when ready.

Because support is not always about doing more, it can be about expecting less, for a while.

What if the behaviour we call ‘misbehaviour’ is actually a signal that a child has reached their limit?

A meltdown isn’t simply about what a child does, it’s about what the child may be unable to manage in that moment. The more important question is not “How do we stop this behaviour?” but “What is the child trying to communicate through it?”

At BIFA, we believe understanding comes before intervention.😊

What if it’s not misbehaviour?🤔

A child covering their ears, avoiding a place, becoming restless, or suddenly withdrawing may be communicating something they cannot yet put into words.

Instead of asking, “Why is this child behaving like this?”
Try asking, “What might this child be experiencing right now?”

A change in behaviour can be a clue, not a choice.

Sometimes, what looks like “Too Much,” “Too Little,” or “Different” is simply a different way of experiencing the world.

•A sound may feel overwhelming.
•A touch may feel uncomfortable.
•A Movement may help a child feel regulated.
•A child may seek sensations that help them stay focused and connected.

When we understand the "WHY" behind the behaviour, we can respond with empathy instead of judgement.

At BIFA, we believe every child deserves to be understood, not changed to fit a mould.

What is Neurodiversity?

Neurodiversity is the idea that every brain develops and functions differently. These natural differences are a part of human diversity, not something to be "FIXED."

NEURODIVERSITY & AUTISM

Neurodiversity recognizes that autism is a natural variation in the way the human brain develops and processes information. It is not a disease to be cured, but a different way of thinking, learning, communicating, and experiencing the world.

Every autistic individual is unique, with their own strengths, interests, abilities, and support needs. When provided with individualized education, evidence-based therapies, and an accepting environment, autistic individuals can learn, grow, and lead meaningful, independent lives.
