Khwopa College of Engineering Among Three Institutions Awarded QAA Accreditation

Bhaktapur, 08 Bhadra 2083, The University Grants Commission (UGC) Nepal awarded Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA) certificates to three educational institutions in a special ceremony: Khwopa College of Engineering, run by Bhaktapur Municipality, along with Haraiya Multiple Campus and Parroha Multiple Campus of Rupandehi on Monday, 8th Bhadra 2083. The accreditation was approved by the UGC Board on 9th Baisakh, 2083; however, due to the changes in the officials of the UGC during that period, the certification was held on 8th Bhadra, 2083 after recent appointments.

Khwopa College of Engineering Wins at KathFest 3.0 Robotics Competition

Khwopa College of Engineering (KhCE) took part in KathFest 3.0, a robotics competition organized by Kathford Engineering College from August 2 to 4, 2026. Three teams from KhCE competed in different robotics categories, giving students an opportunity to test their technical skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities against teams from other colleges.

Khwopa College of Engineering Organizes Orientation Program on Admission Process for Academic Year 2083/84

Khwopa College of Engineering organized an orientation program for the faculty and staff on the admission process for the academic year 2083/84 on 18th Shrawan, 2083, providing detailed information about admission procedures, scholarship opportunities, fee waivers, and other facilities available at the college.
Addressing the program, Er. Sunil Duwal, Principal of Khwopa College of Engineering, highlighted the college's admission process and explained the key steps and requirements for enrollment. He also briefed participants about various scholarship and fee-waiver opportunities available to students based on their IOE entrance examination ranks and academic performance in the Grade 12 (+2) examination.

KhCE Alumni Talk Series: Exploring Hydropower Systems and Engineering

On August 7, 2026, the KhCE Alumni Association collaborated with the Department of Electrical Engineering to host an Alumni Talk Series session featuring alumnus Er. Niroj Gautam (BEL2069). Addressing 3rd-year (BEL2080) and 4th-year (BEL2079) electrical engineering students, Er. Gautam brought a decade of industry expertise (2017–2026) spanning construction management, electrical er****on, testing, commissioning, and plant operation. He currently serves as Project Manager for the Puwa Khola One Hydropower Project and Senior Electrical Engineer for Dudhkoshi Hydropower Nepal (93 MW) and Aayu Consulting Engineers (21 MW).
