Khwopa College of Engineering Signs MoU with Janaki Energy Pvt. Ltd.

Bhaktapur, Nepal – Khwopa College of Engineering has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Janaki Energy Pvt. Ltd. on 29th May, 2026 to strengthen academic–industry collaboration in the fields of renewable energy, research, training, and professional development.
The agreement was signed with the objective of promoting mutual cooperation in project works, internships, exposure visits, research activities, technical training, and data sharing. The collaboration aims to provide students and faculty members with practical exposure and opportunities to enhance their technical knowledge and professional skills beyond the classroom environment.

Khwopa College of Engineering Signs Collaborative Research Grant Agreement

Marking a landmark milestone in its academic journey, Khwopa College of Engineering (KhCE) has formally signed a Collaborative Research Grant Agreement on Monday, 11th Jestha, 2083. The historic grant of NRs. 298,155/- was awarded to a faculty research team for a research project titled “In-Plane Shake Table Test on Unreinforced Traditional Masonry Walls.”
The signing ceremony was chaired by Prof. Dr. Raju Bhai Tyata, Coordinator of the Research & Development (R&D) Unit, in the presence of Principal Er. Sunil Duwal and Vice Principal Er. Ratna Shova Prajapati. Other key dignitaries present included Mr. Sanjaya Manandhar (Head of the Administration Section), Mr. Bishnu Prasad Suwal (Head of the Accounts Section), and Mr. Nirmal Kafle (Member of the R&D Unit).

Alumni-Led Workshop on Integration of Python, MATLAB, LaTeX, and Git in VS Code

The Department of Electrical Engineering, Khwopa College of Engineering, along with their alumni Prajwol KC, Subhanga Aryal, and Krishal Joshi of the BEL 2078 Batch, successfully conducted a three-day workshop on the integration of key tools like Python, MATLAB, LaTeX, and Git in a unified workspace using Visual Studio Code (VS Code), a free source code editor developed by Microsoft. The workshop also included a hands-on session on its implementation for students of IV/I (BEL 2079) held on the 6th, 7th, and 11th of Jestha 2083, focusing on applying these skills to their final-year projects.

Khwopa College of Engineering Faculty Participate in Intensive Training on Outcome-Based Curriculum Development

Faculty members from Khwopa College of Engineering, Er. Rakesh Gwachha, Head, Department of Electrical Engineering, and Er. Naresh Khatri, Deputy Head, Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering, successfully participated in a five-day intensive training titled “Capacity Building Training Program on OBE-Based Curriculum Development (B.E. Electrical/Electronics)” organized by the Nepal Engineering Council (NEC) in collaboration with the National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research Bhopal (NITTTR Bhopal).
