It’s funny how often leadership ends up being about everything 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵 having it all together. Most of the time, it’s more important to be real enough for other people to relax around you.

After each gathering, one of our team members takes on the 𝗛𝗼𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘁.

Head of Community. My goal in this role is to contribute to the thriving community of FL.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴?
To be honest, I was not ready for this weekend. I had been super busy lately, and my mind was somewhere else when I entered the weekend. But as always, I felt welcomed and safe when I arrived Saturday morning. So, my only goal for this weekend was just to be present. I did not feel well prepared to welcome the participants, but it turned out to be another example of why I love the spirit of FL. I managed to be present and had some amazing moments in our group.

Each year we separate the participants into smaller tribes, facilitated by one host and a challenger, supported by the FL Oslo team.

We bring together a group of people who are just as restless, curious, and hungry for change as you are. People who will challenge you, cheer for you, and grow alongside you.

When things get uncomfortable, what do you do? 😶‍🌫️

At our latest Aspire gathering with DNB, we focused on what helps teams grow and sustain momentum together. Over two days, one theme kept coming back: how we show up with and for each other defines the team.

We met at the beautiful House of Consciousness in Oslo, fueled by nourishing food from Jacob Roots, and spent two days digging into relational leadership: hashtag , hashtag , healthy hashtag , and moving with hashtag toward a shared direction.

We even had our own goosebump moment when Wenche Fredriksen led a powerful privilege walk that cracked open raw conversations about diversity and inclusion. It reminded us that thriving teams don’t ignore differences — they acknowledge them, talk about them, and use them as fuel for stronger collaboration.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿: Thriving teams are built, not born. They take courage, empathy, and leaders willing to lean in when it gets uncomfortable. Especially when it gets uncomfortable.

That’s what Aspire is here for. Building leaders who can shape cultures where people actually want to show up, contribute, and grow. 🌱

Rock–paper–scissors. Serious leadership stuff 🪨

When we kicked off the new DNB Aspire cohort this spring, Even Westerveld, DNB’s Chief People Officer, gave a raw, personal talk about his leadership journey. Then, instead of heading to his next meeting, he stuck around and jumped into a fierce rock–paper–scissors tournament with the group.

It got loud. It got heated 🥊

And somewhere between paper covering rock and rock smashing scissors, we were reminded how great cultures work: when leaders show up as humans, not just job titles, trust grows. Walls come down. Collaboration gets easier. Innovation thrives.

That’s the energy Aspire builds on.

She’s already made waves internationally. Her short doc “𝘋𝘦𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘯𝘢𝘬𝘬𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘮” (streaming on NRK) was nominated for both an 𝗢𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿 and a 𝗕𝗔𝗙𝗧𝗔, and won Best Student Film at Nordic Docs. It’s a deeply personal story about her cousin’s transition from cancer patient to survivor—and how healing isn’t always the happy ending we expect.

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲’𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗺.

She’s the voice of the indie-electronic duo 𝘞𝘪𝘣𝘦𝘴, held her first art exhibition in 2023, and co-founded the wonderfully rebellious 𝘏𝘫𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘬𝘦 𝘈𝘳𝘵 𝘊𝘭𝘶𝘣, where the only goal is to make bad art.

Why? Because she believes we’re all artists—and that joy comes when we dare to create, imperfect and honest.

That’s why she’s joining 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 as one of our dialogue guests. To talk about joy not as a performance, but as a practice. As something we make space for—through storytelling, through mess, through showing up anyway.
