Dear fellow parents and warriors in the diabetes community,

I still remember the day my 10-year-old was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. We were rushed to the ER, terrified, and suddenly faced with the daunting task of calculating every bolus dose meticulously to keep him alive. The fear and exhaustion were overwhelming, and in my desperation, I created BareBolus—a free, intuitive app that simplifies those calculations down to one click per meal (!). In quite a long design process I managed to get rid of all unnecessary tasks to find the correct dose. One big clue is that you dont need to enter your blood sugar. Once you check your blood sugar you can see on the screen what your insulin dose is.

Now it saves us time and stress before every meal and gives our son the sense of full responsibility.
