We are a group which has for several years worked towards establishing an eco-community, which can largely live self-sustained with all the necessities of life and in the same spirit as described nicely at www.natursamfunn.no

With particular attention to creating, using, and presenting unique sustainable solutions. Backed by a broad interdisciplinary and international environment with extraordinary scientific and technological expertise. We will seek to identify and present new alternative methods and unconventional processes, that demonstrate how they could be more optimal and legitimate solutions to a multitude of critical local and national social problems. We are now in the process of buying a bigger farm and start up this ecological community as the first part in a considerably larger project. Ecovillages are communities which integrates a good social environment with resource-preserving lifestyles. Ecovillages represents perhaps the most interesting and complete model for sustainable development. Research shows that an average ecovillage-inhabitant in Denmark stands for just around a third of greenhouse gas emissions in contrast to an average Danish citizen. The ecovillage-initiative responds thus to the main objectives in the current climate policy. The Ecovillage movement is an initiative looking for more sustainable ways of living in rural areas, and promotes innovative solutions in response to climate change, pollution, resource shortages and social problems that people face. Ecovillage principles aim to combine a sociocultural environment with a lifestyle with low consumption. To live in a ecocommunities is to choose an alternative to the individualistic, materialistic and consumer-oriented lifestyle. They unite two profound truths: human life is at its best in small, supportive, healthy communities and the only sustainable path for humanity is in the recovery and refinement of traditional community life". Dei tidlegare elevane Birgitte og Arvid de Haes ble kjærastar på SJH. Arvid brukte internatsenga si til frøproduksjonsforsøk, og endte med å flytte inn på Birgitte sitt rom. ARTIVISM DRIVES DEMOCRACY wants to unite the heterogeneous and diverse facets of art movements with social responsibility, combine art with political action in public space and merge young, socially committed artists with democratic movements. we want the borders between art, political actions and playful joy of intervention in urban spaces to be permeable.
With the mission to initiate democratic design processes and to keep them permanently and dynamically, 10 partner organizations from a total of 8 countries joined into a network.

With art as rousing tool, this network offers a wide range of participatory creative methods, practices and strategies and by this is going to explore new ways of democratic and horizontal participation.

The current political and social crises are a challenge for Europe and its neighbouring countries and threaten the democratic developments and opportunities of young and freshly formed initiatives.

Art has always responded to political and social conditions, has influenced and changed. even today there is no difference, on the contrary: “a stunning drive into the political captured large parts of contemporary art” the art critic Hanno Rauterberg said, “… when new political conflicts arise all over the world, art must not stay behind” and on the occasion of the exhibition “global activism” at the ZKM in Karlsruhe, Peter Weibel speaks about “performative democracy”.

In Lviv we will place the foundation for this permanent trans-european cooperation.

Vi var og besøkte Haugesund sist uke og så hvordan den grønne utviklinga gikk der. Der hadde de oppretta en liten urban byhage for dyrking av grønnsaker og en flott Økologisk landhandel; Økokrambua.
