REEL 09/10 - I wanna run back to Singapore whenever things don’t turn out right for me in Norway.
Yes, Norway has been my for 17 years now.
But Singapore continues to feel in my heart. What makes the place in sync with me as a person? Never mind that I was born there…
Things happen & move fast in Singapore-I miss that
The variety of EVERYTHING,not just food-I miss that
The people’s warm & springhtly culture-I miss that
That song Country Road triggered something in me.
Many people would kill to live in the countryside & here I am, living in a warm, close-knit village where everyone knows one another’s family, pets, house & cars.
While lately I’ve been feeling a sense of wanting to MOVE or RENEW or RESTART, the song made me realize I AM in a good place right now.
Here’s my A-ha moments, after being sent by God a number of content on my feed that seems to point at a couple of clear messages:
Those nagging yearning for RENEWAL can point to a phase of AWAKENING.
🙏 I realised I’m in the BEST place & time RIGHT NOW was a big awakening
🙏 I realized I have all it takes to make things better & amazing for myself - great support system (families in Norway & Singapore), healthy social circle (both online & offline), my internal capabilities that had managed to transform my current state each & every time things go wrong
🙏 I need to stop pointing at problems on the exterior or blaming people eg the Husband for this and that - oops 🙊 sorry Husband
‘HOME’ to me means coming back home to myself.
✅I am NOT a victim. I have agency.
✅ I don’t live in a fancy house but the scenery around my house is worth A MILLION BUCKS - that makes me PRIVILEGED, to get to wake up to that view every morning
✅ I set the tone for how my 50s & 60s will turn out
✅ At 52, I am in peak health- no sickness, no allergies. Just - 😝 haha!
Thank you 🙏 God, for ‘WAKING ME UP’ today.
Today I feel truly blessed.
Let me today, God, in the best capacities that’s been given to me. 🙏
