🏎️ From Classroom Inquiry to a Maserati Ride!
At GIS we know education should be highly engaging and empower students to pursue their true passions. During our recent Exhibition, one of our oldest students proved just how far a little curiosity can take you! 🧭✨

Driven by his interest in car restoration, he contacted Roy Asbjørnsen at BEMA with his inquiries. Impressed by his passion and drive, Roy lent him car parts for his exhibition and surprised him by driving him to school in a Maserati! 🏎️💨

This is what deeper learning looks like at our school. We don't just teach from textbooks; we encourage our students to reach out into the community, ask big questions, and take ownership of their education. 🔓 🎯

🌍 International Education, Deep Local Roots! 🇳🇴
At GIS, we are deeply committed to fostering strong Norwegian language skills while teaching through an international, inquiry-based lens. Here is how we are bringing the Norwegian language to life:

📚 Our Growing Library: We love reading! Our library is about to hit 1,000 books, and one-third of them are in Norwegian! Every week, students proudly choose Norwegian books to read at home.

💬 Targeted Lessons: Students consistently build their skills during scheduled Norwegian language lessons throughout the week.

💡 Bilingual Inquiry: We are boosting deeper understanding by weaving both English and Norwegian into our units of inquiry!

🚀 Looking Ahead: Knowing how important Norwegian is for our students, we are currently exploring measures to increase our Norwegian instruction even further.
