As you already know, the winner of the Film Festival for International Student Jury is Kim Ji-young, Born 1982.
This movie follows a story of an ordinary Korean housewife, who is in her thirties and faces gender discrimination in every phase of her life.
Kim Ji-young, Born 1982 also highlighted the treatment women face when they choose to have a baby, not only in women’s private life but also in their workspace or inside the family.
The movie resonated with us and after it finished we stayed and shared our own experiences about the topics that the movie talked about. At one point or another we could all relate to different scenes. We cried, laughed, were angry, desperate, overwhelmed. In short, it made us feel a whole lots of emotions.
Once again, we would love to congratulate the winner of International Student Jury 2021 - Kim Ji-young, Born 1982.
