If you are still drinking your Iced Matcha now the weather is getting colder, what are you doing? 👀

Iced drinks are fun for summer but not the best for your digestion. Now we are transitioning into fall, here are 4 warming beverages I drink during the day 👇🏼

✨ Morning (before breakfast) 8:00 AM
Raw honey & Ginger tea which helps to kickstart my digestion and is filled with antioxidants 🫚

✨ After breakfast 10:00 AM
Coffee with MCT oil to slow down the caffeine absorption and give me that energy boost without the cortisol- or blood sugar spike* ☕️

✨ Afternoon 15:00 PM
Cacao with Lion’s Mane & Chaga for that mild stimulus preventing an afternoon dip (without the need for caffeine!). The added adaptogens, organic raw Criollo cacao and the way this blend is created through minimal processing really makes this one stand out for me!*

✨ Evening 21:00 PM
Golden Milk is a perfect way to unwind, reduce inflammation and support recovery during the night. I don’t buy a specific blend as it’s super easy to make it yourself! I use Turmeric, Cinnamon, Ginger + Black Pepper (for turmeric absorption). I use twice as much turmeric as cinnamon & ginger and only a pinch of pepper.

*You get 10% discount on all products with my code CHAYENNE10

Let me know which one you’d like to try or if you’re still in the process of breaking up with your Iced Matcha 💔

Little photodump from my recent Nuremberg visit + what it taught me (and now you 😉)

Travel is super fun! Yet with this trip I definitely noticed how it affects our delicate hormonal balance.

The train delays + flight delays caused very little amount of sleep on some days and even though I had planned well (meaning I planned this little trip in my follicular phase knowing I’ll have more resilience to physical stressors), the accumulation of it all was more than expected.

So, how do I notice something happening on a hormonal level?

Apart from the general signs that my immune system was weakened (sore throat and running nose) there was a clear indication that my cycle was affected 👇🏼

The lack of cervical fluid.

If you track your cycle you know what I am talking about, if you don’t, listen up!

I am currently on day 14 of my cycle and usually I am heading toward ovulation which is accompanied by fertile cervical fluid.

The lack of (fertile) cervical fluid is a clear marker for me that my body is “struggling” and most likely has pushed back ovulation (due to the stressors of travel!)

Now this isn’t something grand or something to worry about. It just means that ovulation will happen later for me this cycle and so will my menstruation 🩸

However it IS super important for me to be aware of these subtle changes and to know where they stem from.

I have heard SO many women that went travelling and “lost” their period or had a very longggg cycle but got their bleed the second they arrived home 🏡

So many women that experienced a pregnancy scare when their bleed wouldn’t come.. when in reality our bodies are just very sensitive to all of the changes that travel brings (especially when crossing time zones!!) ✈️

Tracking your cycle is THE best way to understand these changes and stop the guessing game!

I still have 1 spot left for 1:1 coaching this March, claim it by DM! 💌

P.S. yes I share sourdough everywhere I go now hehe

Next to having my own business, I mostly desire being the home maker.

I desire becoming a mom, raising children, making delicious meals, baking on Sunday’s and making sure the house is clean.

It might seem a traditional view, that many still connect to a patriarchal society where “women belong in the kitchen”, yet it is quite the opposite.

I feel that I am returning to deeper maternal values like seen in a matriarchal society where women are highly respected and valued for their qualities such as being empathic, nurturing, instinctual etc.

You could say it’s my age that pulls me towards this direction, yet I feel it is bigger than that. There is a shift happening, whether you choose to operate IN - or OUTSIDE of the corporate world. Women are reclaiming their sacred gifts and in doing so are challenging our current society.

(That being said, a matriarchy is not the exact opposite of a patriarchy and therefore does NOT mean that men are “submissive” to women. They are equally valued for their masculine traits.)

I see more women have the desire to slow down. To re-asses what is truly important and find themselves craving simplicity, presence and true connection.

But obviously, having these desires in our current society is frowned upon.

The society where a college degree, a high salary and a big house are being praised.

The society where productivity & independence are most valued.

The society where the pursuit of these masculine traits like competition, progression and dominance has left most women feeling empty in their purpose.

I’d like to return to the values of motherhood, a love filled marriage, a slow life, a healthy family and a close-knit community around me.

I’d like to be connected to Mama earth and her nature’s cycles that reflect my own.

And while pouring into myself and my family, I’d like to lend a helping hand to women struggling with their own (inner) cycles. To be of service and hold space.

What about you? Please share your thoughts and desires with me in the comments below 🫶🏼

Hiding in MANY of your personal care items, cleaning products and much more, xenoestrogens are throwing your hormones off balance ❌

Xenoestrogens are synthetic chemicals, otherwise known as endocrine disruptors.

They can mimic the effect of your hormones or block their receptors, sending your hormones in disarray.

Your liver is working hard to dispose of them, but is likely overworked because of the high amount of toxins we are exposed to in our current lifestyle.

Five Tips to avoid Xenoestrogens:

1. Avoid cosmetics / lotions/ shampoos/ cleaning agents and menstrual products that contain fragrance & harsh chemicals and opt for natural alternatives instead.
Did you know that women apply an average of 168 chemicals to their skin every day? Please think twice about what you put on your body!

2. Filter your water. Tap water is not as clean as you think it is, do your research and get a quality filter!

3. Start eating more organic produce to limit pesticide exposure. Look into the “Dirty Dozen” and start there.

4. Update your cookware. Throw out your plastic containers, plastic utensils and toxic non-stick coated pans. Opt for glass containers, wooden utensils and stainless steel or cast iron pans instead.

5. Quit hormonal birth control.

Next up is aiding your liver in the detoxification process, something I will touch on with every 1:1 client because of its importance!

I’ll save that gem for next time 💎

What are some changes you are going to make to lower your exposure to Xenoestrogens? Let me know in the comments 👇🏼

Dry Brushing Basics⁣ 🔥

1. Use a soft bristle brush (!)⁣
I experienced that most dry brushes were too harsh for my skin and would’ve caused irritation/scratches if I continued using them. This should never be the case! Look for a soft bristle brush that is gentle and pleasant for your skin. ⁣

2. Dry brushing is best done BEFORE a shower or bath, on dry skin (no bodylotion or oils!).⁣

3. Apply medium to firm pressure without causing skin irritation. If irritation occurs, discontinue your practice. ⁣

4. After dry brushing, you can take a shower/bath and rehydrate the skin with good quality body oils.⁣

How about that Tutorial?⁣

Since I’ve started dry brushing I have seen many ways of “how to do it” and each of them has been slightly different. Some people say to always brush in the direction of the heart, others brush in the direction of their lymph nodes, some start their practice at their core, others at their extremities. I can see how these differences create confusion.⁣

As a former physical therapist, I already had some knowledge about the lymphatic system prior to starting my practice and I feel it is important for you to be educated as well.⁣

Until I decide to make my own tutorial one day, I have found an amazing instruction video made by a lymphedema physical therapist that I would like to share with you.⁣

Type in YouTube “Dry Brushing for Lymphatic Drainage - Shown the Best way by a Lymphedema Physical Therapist” to watch it.⁣

Are you going to give dry brushing a try? Feel free to ask me any questions regarding this! 🌿

Let’s talk about Estrogen Dominance 🌹⁣

“Estrogen dominance” is the term that is used for the imbalance between the two main female s*x hormones: estrogen and progesterone. ⁣

It is something a lot of women (unknowingly) struggle with.⁣

Estrogen dominance creates symptoms such as painful/heavy periods, breast tenderness, low libido, headaches, bloating/water retention, PMS/mood swings, fibroids, weight gain, acne, hair loss, fatigue, constipation, fertility issues and more…⁣

There can be many causes for this, some of them are:⁣
👉🏼 Real or perceived stress ⁣
👉🏼 Xenoestrogens (toxins in the environment that mimic estrogen)⁣
👉🏼 Anovulation⁣
👉🏼 Poor gut health ⁣
👉🏼 Liver detox issues ⁣
👉🏼 Undernourishing or undereating⁣
👉🏼 Blood sugar dysregulation ⁣

What you can do to support your body:⁣
✨ Reduce your stress levels⁣
✨ Eat enough (organic) nutrient dense foods⁣
✨ Track your cycle so you know whether you are ovulating or not⁣
✨ Support your liver so it can effectively break down estrogen⁣
✨ Avoid xenoestrogens (such as phthalates & BPA) found in plastics, beauty products etc.⁣
✨ Improve your gut health so it can eliminate excess estrogen⁣
✨ Balance your blood sugar levels e.g. by eating at regular times and dressing your carbs⁣

This post is meant as an overview into what estrogen dominance is, where it can stem from (root causes) and which possible action steps there are. ⁣

I will soon create deeper education around each of these root causes & action steps 🔥⁣

Diving deeper into HOW to improve gut health, support your liver, balance blood sugar, avoid xenoestrogens, reduce stress levels etc.⁣

So stay tuned 👀⁣

Let me know if you found this information helpful! 🌸

Something unexpected happened last weekend… 🩸

As someone who has dealt with debilitating period cramps her whole life.. having an easeful cycle almost sounded like a fantasy.

For the longest time I thought having pain during menstruation was “normal” and never thought much of the fact that I was consuming an entire strip of painkillers just to survive 1 day.

But that attitude changed significantly and I began to understand we can heal our bodies & hormones and that there was a chance, even for me, to experience painless periods.

I put a lot of effort into balancing my hormones and since three months ago I was able to ditch the painkillers during my period. I was still in pain but not as much anymore and I was already SO happy with these results.

Imagine my surprise when this cycle… I had the most easeful menstrual cycle of my LIFE. I felt like I was on painkillers. There was some minor pain in the background, that sometimes surged for a minute. But that was it.

It was the confirmation that what I have been doing for months (healing my hormones, healing the connection to my cycle, healing the relationship with my womb etc) is giving me the results I thought were never possible for me.

Even when I went to the doctor years ago for my debilitating pains during my period, she told me that the only “solution” was to get back on the pill…

Hell no 🙅🏻‍♀️

I am so proud of myself to have healed myself through my ongoing effort and research into this topic and that I have seen such a big shift in a rather “short” amount of time.

It has clarified for me that this is also possible for others and that I want to help other women achieve this as well.

The deep connection to your body.
The understanding of your cyclical nature.
The relationship with your womb.

Because the lack of education and misinformation of this topic leads us to be disconnected from one of the most powerful channels in our bodies.

Imagine what will happen when you take your power back ⚡️

If this sounds like something you would want for yourself, keep an eye on my page 👀

I will soon share more about what I am preparing for you regarding this topic!
