These two organisations based in Utrecht give funding towards educational and cultural activities like this Symposium. The last (but not least) speaker at the Innovation Symposium is Marvin Hooplot. Working as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, one of the “Big Four” accounting organizations, he has gained insights into the use of artificial intelligence in interesting subjects as big data. Marvin also has a master’s degree in artificial intelligence at the VU Amsterdam. He will tell us about the opportunities and dangers of using artificial intelligence in firms.

Beware! The next speaker at the Innovation Symposium is Wim Schepers. Currently functioning as the Director of Entis BV, Wim is an expert in Data Analytics, Process & Data Management and Business Model Innovation. Entis BV supports asset managers in building investment portfolios with sustainable returns. Entis has strong expertise and knowledge in the intersection of artificial intelligence, unstructured data and thematic- and factor investing. Entis is a game definer, developing new reliable analytical methods to mine uncharted investment territory.
Besides Entis BV, Wim has also functioned as partner of Deloitte, one of the “Big Four” accounting organizations and the largest professional service network in the world by revenue. During his time at Deloitte, Wim has gained many rich experiences as Innovationleader and Executive Consultant. Being a former academic lecturer as well, Wim will provide the Symposium with meaningful and interesting insights in the use of Artificial Intelligence at the very top of the business level/sector.

Our next speaker is Gerald de Vrieze. He is a testautomation engineer at QoppoConsult and has a degree in Philosophy of Technology & Design. He is looking into the possibilities of using artificial intelligence for searching errors in systems. This brings the question if it is needed to replace human work with artificial intelligence. He will bring interesting insights from the eyes of an engineer in the consulting business.

It is time to reveal our host of the evening, this is none other than Jan-Willem Bode. The founder and 1st chairman of our beautiful study association will be our host for the evening. Jan-Willem Bode brings along over 20 years of experience in energy and climate change. He is specialised in strategy, business models, finance, project development and energy transition. As CEO and managing director of multiple consultancy firms he has years of experience dealing with rapidly changing ventures and markets. He has also encountered artificial intelligence, as upcoming technology. We are very proud to present him as our host for the Innovation Symposium.

It is time for the last speaker! Lars Lockefeer will kick off the evening with an inspiring talk about the opportunities automation has to offer. He will do so by giving examples from the company he works at, Picnic. Lars is the Mobile Tech Lead of Picnic, which means he coordinates the developers working on the mobile Picnic application.

Unfortunately, Piet Fortuin will be unable to make it tomorrow.
Fortunately, his replacement is right on par with him. Sanne van der Meulen will replace Piet Fortuin. Sanne is responsible for the Transport sector within CNV, which means she will have some really interesting examples in the transport sector!

Our next speaker is Prof. Dr. Joop Schippers. He is a professor at Utrecht University and mainly researches the labour market. At the symposium he will give us insight about the influence of robotization and how it will affect us and future generations.
