History, Culture, and Identity Erasure – the topic of our next Critical Urbanists meeting.

We will delve into practices that have rendered certain groups, cultures, and narratives practically invisible, powerless, and in some instances erased from discourse. How do we re-empower minority groups that have been shoved away? How can we deglorify symbols of a dark history without unintentionally disregarding its existence?

To have a fun mix-up from our usual structure, we will first take the time to collectively watch a video related to the topic during the meeting. Afterward, we start the discussion. We have compiled a list of various materials of which you are free to choose any that you find interesting to prepare for the meeting. You can find them via the link in bio on our instagram!

Or find your own interesting materials for the topic! Hopefully, this allows us to all bring a different background to the table to have a fun conversation.

When? 4th of May, 17.30 - approx. 19.00
Where? Propolis at the Beehive

P.S. the 4th of May is also Remembrance Day in The Netherlands. So maybe we'll get the chance to give some attention to that as well.
