Yup, you read that right. Starting the end of this week (when Jupiter enters Gemini), I’m stepping away from Instagram until further notice.⁣

Instagram has always been rough on my mental health. The doom scrolling, pressure to create content, and endless comparisons don’t help my easily overstimulated brain. While I might get overwhelmed quicker than some, I know I’m not alone in struggling to maintain a healthy relationship with social media. Everyone I know has a love-hate relationship with this platform at best.⁣

With the latest updates from , I’ve concluded that this app feels like a game I can’t win (and don’t enjoy playing). So, I’m doing what anyone should do in a toxic relationship: I’m breaking up with Instagram.⁣

This may sound drastic, but I see it as a chance to be more offline while Jupiter is in Gemini. I’ll keep my account active in case I change my mind after a year, and so folks who find this account know where to reach me.⁣

I’ll admit that I’m currently rethinking everything about my work: what to offer, how to promote it, what goals to focus on, and where to stop putting so much effort. I want to figure out how to have a thriving business without social media. My aim has always been to prioritize quality over quantity. Stepping away from Instagram helps me focus on what really matters.⁣

I want to dedicate much more time to my own somatic practice and deepen my divinatory work. I want to write more longform quality content and create new offerings. For all of these things, I simply need time and peace of mind, away from the social media noise.⁣

That being said, I’m still open for consultations (natal chart, forecast), coaching, and astrology mentoring sessions.⁣

Where to find me while I’m offline?⁣

- The best way to stay updated is through my newsletter. Link is where you think.⁣
- I’ll still be on Threads for some low-key musings.⁣
- I have a Substack where I’ll probably share more writing. Link is where you think.⁣
- If you just want to stay in touch as friends, feel free to ask for my number! I’ll need someone to send me all the memes I’m missing.⁣

Jupiter-Uranus
We’re days away from the exact hit of the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction, a transit many astrologers have been looking forward to. And with good reason: this cycle often symbolizes major breakthroughs, political upheavals, and cultural shifts. It’s kind of a big deal.⁣

But amidst all the excitement, it’s crucial to manage our expectations. The truth is, this conjunction might not immediately bring fireworks. That’s not to say nothing will happen; it’s just that the effects might take time to unfold. ⁣

This has to do with the nature of the aspect itself, being a seeding moment for progress and change. Richard Tarnas even likens it to “hidden births,” suggesting that the real impact may not be felt right away. Plus, the fact that it’s happening in the 3rd decan of Ta**us (a sign known for its slow and steady pace) adds to the patience required.⁣

To get a sense of what this transit might bring, especially if it aligns with key points in your birth chart, it’s worth reflecting on the last Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in 2010-11. Personally, that period was super significant for me. The second hit of the conjunction trined my Sun in Cancer and coincided with a new relationship (the start of which was also very Jupiter-Uranus coded), which profoundly revolutionized my self-expression. Though the relationship itself didn’t last, it expanded my horizons and taught me to embrace new facets of myself, even if it took years to fully understand and appreciate. ⁣

So if this weekend doesn’t bring fireworks, don’t worry. It could just be the beginning of a journey whose true significance will only become clear with time.

22/03/2024

This upcoming eclipse has me thinking about the link between the South Node in Libra and the ambivalent/anxious attachment style in relationships. Ambivalently attached folks tend to overfocus on the other and underfocus on the self. This often stems from a lack of consistency from caregivers in childhood, which means that their self-regulatory functions aren’t always as well developed. As a result, ambivalently attached folks often look to others to down regulate or calm their nervous system. If we’re not connected to who we are and what our own needs and wants are, we’ll often overly focus on others (sometimes called a “fawn” or appease response). Sometimes this also leads to “clingy” behaviour or projection, which can have the effect of pushing away the people we actually desire connection with.⁣

From Diane Poole Heller’s work: “As ambivalently attached people, we lose contact with ourself and reach out to others to get ourself back, but we end up abandoning ourself in the process. This is a significant dilemma for those of us with ambivalent attachment: relying on so much external input fosters overdependence, loss of control, and even more self abandonment.”⁣

For this lunar eclipse, remember your own sense of self and connect with yourself first. This can look like taking yourself out on a date, connecting with the felt sense in your body, and/or reflecting on your own relationship patterns. In what situations do you find yourself engaging in fawning behaviour, and what underlying emotions or needs might be driving it? How can you nurture a sense of self while also fostering connection with others?⁣

If you want to understand your relationship blueprint and heal your attachment wounds, I’d love to work with you in Constellate, my 1:1 astrology coaching container. You can book a free discovery call to see if we’re a good fit. I’d love to connect with you!

Many folks initially get into astrology as a way to better understand themselves (myself included). There’s this meme that circles around the internet, about how the people that become obsessed with astrology, psychology & personality types are the children who felt misunderstood in their youth. We use astrology (and other modalities) to fully understand ourselves and other people—almost like a love language. This greater self-understanding often turns into a spiritual/self-development journey that helps to heal and liberate us from limiting beliefs and ideas about who we should be. A journey of shedding skin and becoming more authentically ourselves.⁣

As I shared in my stories last week, there’s nothing wrong with that “misunderstood-to-authentic-and-aware” pipeline. The world needs more people who are alive.⁣

But if the result of that self knowledge and “healing journey” isn’t a pursuit of collective liberation, then what are we even doing? ⁣

Healing isn’t a solo journey. Freedom, healing and personal growth are not just personal but are fundamentally relational: both influenced by and influencing the social and environmental systems that surround us.⁣

We are part of a bigger picture. Our own healing work, whether that’s done by astrology, somatics, or any other modality, also impacts the collective and how we engage and interrelate with others. We are mutually interdependent, and so our own personal practice needs to reflect that and actively express that. ⁣

Once you get a taste of what it’s like to liberate yourself from oppressive ideas, your goal should be to want the same for others. It should make you feel more solidarity and love for others, both human and more-than-human. Honestly, it should radicalise you.⁣

We don’t need more separation and division. We need more connection.

January photo dump⁣

One thing I’ve been noticing as I’m committing myself more to embodying Venus is that I barely take any pictures from day to day. Sure, I take a lot of pictures of my son, but other than some functional snapshots of things I might want to buy for the house (very Venus in Virgo 💀) I don’t really take a lot of time to capture my life. And despite having natal Mercury in the 10th, I also don’t really share much of myself in this space. So this year I’ll challenge myself to take more pictures and also share them!⁣

January was both slow and extremely busy (blame it on Saturn opposing my Mars), and with Saturn finally moving on I’m glad things are getting back to normal soon. I’ve enjoyed not being much on social media but also miss the connection with all of you!⁣

1. showing my son the magic of the universe ⁣
2. a new hobby!!!⁣
3. I have been cooking more and loving it! this is homemade naan⁣
4. doing a daily tarot pull again⁣
5. Kai’s first snowman ⁣
6. need this in my house (this is part of a world building workshop I facilitated for my other job)⁣
7. both of my kids fighting for my attention⁣
8. mood with Saturn in Pisces opposing my Venus

‘Tis the season of looking back and reflecting on the year we’re leaving behind. And how else to do that than by revisiting some of the major transits I've gone through? Transits aren’t only a great technique to use for astrological prediction, they are also incredibly helpful to better understand the past. When we’re going through the thick of it, it’s challenging to make sense of what is actually going on. The meaning-making of certain events usually comes after the fact, when you’ve gained some distance from whatever happened. There’s a quote by philosopher Søren Kierkegaard that illustrates this “Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.”⁣

Astrological transits help us understand backwards. They provide an archetypal context to experiences that maybe seemed unclear or just plain chaotic at the time. And understanding the past more deeply brings integration, freedom, and healing. It’s the best foundation for looking ahead at what’s next, too. I strongly believe that new plans will be more impactful and empowering once you’ve properly reflected on where you come from in the first place. It makes our goals and intentions more realistic and helps us stay embodied in the here and now.⁣

In most of my Cosmic Cycles consults, I start with an acknowledgment of and reflection on transits that clients have recently lived through. I often hear back from clients how validating it is to start there and how it helps them move forward with more clarity. My books are open, if you’re curious about exploring your own past, present and future. ⁣💌 subscribers have received a discount code in the mail.

Here's what I've learned in 2024⁣
💪 I can do hard things: Finishing up my Saturn return.⁣
🔥 Some bridges need to burn in order to build new ones: Transiting Pluto opposite my Sun.⁣
💄 Pleasure is a practice: Transit Saturn opposite my Venus & Venus retrograde in my 10th house.⁣
🎯 Intention is the key to success: Transit Saturn opposite Mars & Mars cazimi on my ascendant.⁣

21/11/2023

I’ve spent much of my life trying to figure out who I was. As a young child, I was sensitive and immersed in my own little world. Letting other people in never really occurred to me, as there was so much to explore within myself. But as I got older, I discovered my more social side. In some situations, I was loud, outspoken, even a jokester. I couldn't figure myself out. At some points, I started to think I was crazy.⁣

It was hard for me to reconcile my sensitive and introverted character with the parts of me that were bold and silly. I could captivate a small audience with jokes, be an open book in many ways, and at the same time be socially awkward and reclusive. What was that about?⁣

Nothing about my personality made much sense to me until I discovered my birth chart. Yes, my Scorpio/Virgo/Cancer placements perfectly describe my sensitivity, need for privacy, and social awkwardness, but I also have my Leo placements, and that Sagittarius Moon that comes with a little bit of spice. Seeing all the different parts of me reflected in my birth chart was profoundly healing and helped me understand that there’s nothing wrong with me. I contradict myself - because I contain multitudes.⁣

We all have such contradictions within us, and the birth chart is where we can see exactly what those are. Sometimes it’s the polarization between wanting safety and being impulsive, or prioritizing others and flying solo. Having these contradictions inside of you doesn’t make you crazy or less authentic, it makes you who you are.⁣

As an astrologer, contradictions in the birth chart are often one of the first things I notice and discuss with clients. And in my Constellate sessions, we go even deeper as we bring in somatic parts work. You not only discover your multitudes, but get to know each part of you intimately, establish a connection with your parts, and heal some of their burdens. Ultimately, this helps you feel more empowered, confident, and more authentically you.⁣

I’d love to work with you. My books are open, or DM me for more info.⁣

The work I offer is the medicine I once needed. When I was going through a huge identity crisis in my mid twenties (yay for Uranus transits), I had no clue how to move forward and find the liberation and freedom I craved. I was stuck in outdated beliefs about who I was supposed to be and didn't have the tools to understand, let alone embody my purpose. ⁣

Reading about my birth chart online provided some insights, but it also kept me in a state of paralysis. I wasn't able to look beyond the very basic interpretation of what my birth chart said I was, and feel what else was possible. Hearing about my own strengths from another astrologer was affirming, but it always felt very surface level. Sure, it's cool to have a 60-minute session where someone tells you who you are, but then there's the rest of your life where you actually have to start embodying that. The star gazing in and of itself was never enough to change my life.⁣

It wasn't until I started adding somatic work into the mix, that I finally deeply felt and understood who I was and how to make that person come alive. I quit my job in academia and radically changed my life. No longer the anxious overachiever, I now prioritise rest and authenticity. (Okay, I'll admit there's still some anxiety sometimes, but hey, I have Virgo placements... it's part of the package!) The combination of astrology and embodiment work not only offered me a way out of my distress, but also find my purpose within it.⁣

I've been helping folks find their way back home to themselves since 2019. My approach to astrology coaching is unique in that I blend insights from ancient and modern astrology with somatic exercises and coaching. As an astrologer and embodiment coach, I don't just tell you about your purpose, gifts, or skills, I help you become them. ⁣

Astrology is your North Star. Your body is the compass. Let’s map the way together.⁣

After a summer of cosmic hiccups, Venus is finally back in better shape. This means that in theory, we should be able to reclaim some of the sweetness that Venus has to offer, including love, beauty, harmony and pleasure.⁣

Yet the pathway to pleasure isn't always clear for everyone, especially in a time when peace seems so hard to find. I don't know about you, but I'm finding it pretty darn hard to experience pleasure when there is so much grief. But I've discovered a while ago already, that even in times of unprecedented despair, love and pleasure are the answer.⁣

Because pleasure is a doorway. Pleasure is a medicine. Pleasure is generative.⁣

And pleasure is not a zero sum game. Pleasure is something that can be life giving. If we reclaim our own sense of joy and pleasure, this also transforms the people around us and our communities. The world benefits from more embodied pleasure.⁣

Embodying pleasure is a personal experience. It looks different for everyone. We often think of pleasure only in the context of what happens in the bedroom. But in its most basic form, it’s about how much we allow ourselves to feel joy and fulfillment just for the sake of it. How do we invite more sweetness into our lives? Can we give space to the yes within ourselves?⁣

𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐬: 𝐚 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢-𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠⁣
In this 30-minute reading, we'll explore your own sweet spot, focusing on how you can feel and integrate more pleasure in your life. We'll dive into your natal Venus placement and uncover the ways you can embody more sweetness. Whether you’re an astrology newbie or a seasoned pro, this session will give you valuable insights in how to integrate more pleasure into your daily life. You’ll get tailored reflection questions and somatic practices to stay connected with Venus long after the session.⁣

This offer will be around until Venus leaves Libra in early December, so get it while it’s hot. 🔥⁣

P.S. If you celebrate(d) your birthday in October/November/December, now is also a great time for a Cosmic Cycles session. Feel free to get in touch or book in the usual spot.

I am a commitment to Venus.⁣

That is the biggest insight I had during the Venus retrograde this summer. I was born under that very cycle, so it felt very personal to me. But when I was born 32 years ago, Venus was about to station retrograde in Virgo, before she retraced her steps through Leo. ⁣

Learning about my Venus in Virgo placement was one of those astrology lightbulb moments. It explained why I always struggled so much with Venusian things. I was a sensitive and socially awkward child, who didn't know how to connect with other people. I didn't know how to socialise, how to dress, how to have fun — all of this I learned by observing others and mimicking what they did. And while I've generally been blessed in love (barring exceptions), I often created my own demise by being overly critical of my partners, unable to express my true needs, having unrealistic expectations about love, and believing that the grass is greener on the other side (it isn't). ⁣

Finding pleasure in the here and now is something I had to learn the hard way, and it will always be a work in progress. With Venus in fall in the top of my chart, it's safe to say that Venus topics will always be a little bit inconsistent.⁣

That doesn't mean that there's no hope in changing that, or genuine desire to do so.⁣

Because what I crave is community, deep intimacy, more and more and more pleasure. What I crave is music, art, dance, poetry, passion. Celebrating life, other people, our planet and its many critters. All of that, every day, or at least as much as I possibly can.⁣

So I am committing myself to Venus, because that's what she needs from me. Planets in tricky places in our charts often do. They don't have an instruction manual or automatic pilot. All they have are ill-fitted tools that don't quite get the job done. But you can learn to work with these placements and practice authentic ways of embodying that planet. Which is exactly the work I do with Constellate.⁣
