Tuba & Euphonium Studies in Maastricht – Bachelor, Master & Erasmus
At the Conservatorium Maastricht I teach Tuba and Euphonium in the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes, as well as Erasmus students for one or two semesters.
My teaching combines a solid technical foundation with musical curiosity, stylistic awareness and individual artistic development. A distinctive element of my work is the active use of historical tubas in the teaching process. These instruments are integrated into lessons to explore questions of sound concept, articulation, technique and repertoire from a historical and practical perspective. This work is meant as a complement to the modern instrument and often opens up new musical and technical approaches.
This is particularly suited for students who want to:
deepen their sound concept and musical flexibility prepare for orchestral auditions, chamber music and solo repertoire explore historical performance practice and instrument knowledge. Gain new impulses for technique and musical expression.
Erasmus students are very welcome and fully integrated into the regular study programme, ensembles and concert life. Lessons, projects and assessments are arranged individually.
Regular application deadline (Bachelor & Master): March 1
Programmes start with the winter semester.
