You can now enroll for FYSICA 2020! This year's theme is "Big data & deep learning - New opportunities for physics & society". Nobel laureate Didier Queloz will speak in the afternoon about his work involving the discovery of the first exoplanet. Already convinced? Sign up (only β¬7,50 for students!) through https://fysica.nl!
There's also the young speakers contest - a session during the plenary morning programme of FYSICA where PhD students or postdocs within five years of obtaining their PhD can pitch their work in a presentation of 12 minutes. The prize for the best presentation is β¬750,-, a certificate and eternal fame! You can find more about how to apply for this contest in the following link: https://www.fysica.nl/forms/young-speaker-contest/.
In the afternoon programme the theme will be further explored in focus sessions where you can pick those that you deem the most interesting. We will also present the winner of the SPIN-contest for the bachelor project competition. Do you think your bachelor thesis (published after FYSICA 2019) is one of the best in the Netherlands? Contact your local study association to find out how to participate!
See you all at FYSICA!
