We are counting down..........
Few more days before the start. I'm getting nervous. Will all the training effort i did be enough. Does my mental state be strong enough?! Lots of questions that are coming up. But I’ve got one goal, one mission. I will go for it! Get attention on this called cancer. This body and mind wrecking disease.
There is money needed to do more research. And thats where i will bring it. Straight into that research program. No overhead, no big director filling its pockets.
For all loved ones who are fighting cancer, I'll fight with you. Different battle same goal. To have you around much longer. to have more days filled with love and laughter. Because we all can't go without you yet. It's not time to say goodbye yet. much more to do. So much more to say. So much love to give.

VUmc CCA is one of the five VUmc research institutes, integrating research, education and health care in oncology and immunology. The main goal of VUmc CCA is to prevent and cure cancer and immunological diseases, and -as a consequence- increase the survival rate. To accomplish this we perform top-level research to find new treatment modalities and diagnostics in order to provide patients with optimal, individualized medical care. Most of the research activities are integrated with top clinical care, enabling true translational research. In addition, VUmc CCA focuses on improving the quality of life of patients with oncological and immune-mediated, non-oncological diseases.

Research programs
The research projects of VUmc CCA are grouped in five programs. The three main research aims of the institute, early diagnostics, personalized treatment and quality of life are well covered by these
five programs.

Oncogenesis Covers viral oncogenesis, progression and early diagnosis, as well as genetic predisposition and cancer genes.

Immunopathogenesis Covers both fundamental and pre-clinical research into the immunological processes underlying homeostasic control, in relation with inflammatory diseases and cancer.

Disease profiling We want to identify new determinants for the diagnosis, prognosis and tailored treatment of immunologica and oncological diseases.

Innovative therapy Covers targeted therapy, including radiotherapy, surgery and systemic therapy, as well as immunotherapy.

Quality of life Encompasses research within the field of quality of life in childhood, and in adult patients.

ITime for a new challenge! It's definite now. This year I will do the non stop and the 5 day competition! Big challenge for me but all for charity again. Still fighting to collect money for cancer ...

Speciaal voor jullie organiseren we a.s. zondagochtend van half 11 tot half 1 een SUP Clinic. Leer SUPPEN en race daarna je eerste race tijdens de Battle of the Coast in Zandvoort!
Een ervaren instructeur zal je alles kneepjes leren van het suppen op zee. Maar ook veiligheid, zee omstandigheden & SUP technieken.
Als afsluiter van deze clinic organiseren we een echte beachrace op FANATIC inflatables. SUP'er fun!

Neem je ouders, broers en zussen, ooms en tantes, opa’s en oma's mee. Zij kunnen lekker chillen op het strand, en je aanmoedigen tijdens je eerste beachrace!
