Vacature Urban Fabric Development:

Onderzoeks-/afstudeerstage in vastgoed (management)

Wil jij onderzoek doen naar de ontwikkeling van een gezonde en levendige stad? Of je verder verdiepen in de kloof tussen de dynamische vraag naar vastgoed en het relatief statische aanbod? Of richt je je liever op onderwerpen als healthy urban living, adaptieve gebouwen en circulariteit? Tijdens een (afstudeer)stage bij Urban Fabric Development kun je dit allemaal onderzoeken aan de hand van lopende projecten.

On Wednesday, we visited the new building Neuron (previously La Place) on campus together with the company Stevens Van Dijck. Thanks to Stevens Van Dijck, the activity was very well-organised. We had a nice lunch in the Zwarte Doos and were given an informative presentation about the Neuron project. We also got to know more about Stevens Van Dijck's projects. Then, we visited the construction site and we were given a very comprehensive explanation on each floor. Many students asked interesting questions and had a great conversation with the company. In the end, we also had some nice drinks with the company in the Zwarte Doos.

It was a very successful activity to end the academic year. Thanks again to Stevens Van Dijck and to all the students who participated. We hope to see you all again at the SERVICE activities in the next academic year and look forward to more collaboration between us and Stevens Van Dijck!💙

Would you like to see what is happening in the new building Neuron (previously La Place) to be completed on the Tu/e campus? Next Wednesday (22 June), SERVICE and Stevens Van Dijck are organising a site visit to Neuron. The activity will include a free lunch, a presentation and discussion given by the company, a site visit and free drinks at the end! You will then be able to see the construction of our future education building before it is completed and opened to students! We will meet at the SERVICE desk together at 12:45 and be responsible for the whole journey!

Last Friday the SERVICE Symposium 2022 took place! During this afternoon, students had the opportunity to follow informative cases and interesting lectures. A lot of thanks to all the partners that joined the symposium! Hopefully, everyone enjoyed the symposium, also including magazine release and the closing network drink! 💙

Pieter Pauwels, associate professor at the department of the Built Environment, elaborates on different applications of AI in the built environment. There are two activities happening this week!

We will start with the American Themed partnership celebration drink in La Route on Tuesday evening! There will be FREE hotdogs served from 7pm to 8 pm and the first keg of beer is FREE! The beer pongs activity is also coming back during the drink!

On Wednesday, the company HEVO will give a lunch lecture regarding project organisation. The lecture will be in Dutch.
