Organisational change means that we as leaders, but also all of our employees need to go through a transition. From my experience, that's not easy. How to get better at transitions? In a nutshell, transitioning is a skill that can be built with 4 component skills: pacing and planning, the art of letting go, letting ''the inside out'' and lastly letting ''the inside in''

As much as planning can be learnt in a standard way, you can build the rest of the skills only by finding YOUR OWN way of dealing with them. Coaching is the most effective training modality acc. to B. Hall Training Benchmark Study, scoring 4 on a 5-point scale.

So why is business transformation so difficult to achieve? One reason is the invisible fears and insecurities that keep us locked into behaviours even when we know rationally that they don’t serve us well. Leaders can change processes, policies, seating arrangements, and other external factors, but until they change people’s internal feelings, assumptions, blind spots, and fears, they’ll struggle to make change stick.
