We are thrilled to announce the upcoming Exhibitions of Artistic Research (EARs) by our second-year Masterās students.
Over the past two years, these artistic researchers have dedicated themselves to deep investigation, challenging the boundaries of their fields through rigorous practice-as-research. From April 14th to 17th, they will open their processes and present their final findings in a series of exciting and transformative works.

The Open Call for the MA Performance Practices is now LIVE. We invite aspiring artist-researchers into a community at the forefront of rigorous artistic and intellectual enquiry.
At the HOME OF PERFORMANCE PRACTICES, we move beyond traditional boundaries and disciplines. Whether your background is in dance, theatre, performance art, film-making or even a completely different field, we provide the environment to evolve your work into a powerful strategy for change.

Reflecting on the transformative works from our first-year students during the Politically Engaged Performance Making module. The students were challenged to treat their work as a political gesture, resulting in an incredible range of diverse research:
Between mourning rituals and minimal gestures. Personal storytelling through play. The policing of identity and the reclamation of the in-between.
Thank you to all the students for sharing your work so bravely. And thank you to for guiding our students in this process.

Join the HOME Online Orientation Session!

The HOME OF PERFORMANCE PRACTICES of ArtEZ University of the Arts welcomes prospective applicants who wish to know more about our programme, people, and places, to meet us online and get acquainted with how we support individual artistic development and research trajectories.
Discover our curriculum, ethics and exciting opportunities that the programme offers. Get practical information about accommodation, facilities, and our educational vision.
In this online session our head of learnersā coordinator, Steef Kersbergen, will introduce you to our vision on education and artistic research surrounding performance practices. They will present the ethics that form the foundation of our programme and our approach to supporting each student in their individual artistic research trajectory. You will also have the opportunity to meet some current students and ask them all about the student experience of the HOME OF PERFORMANCE PRACTICES.

The HOME OF PERFORMANCE PRACTICES is looking for a new cohort of practitioners-researchers to join our masters programme. We are an incubator for artistic research on performance practices in all its forms
We challenge, de-discipline, and reshape the role of the artist, using performance as a strategy for building more equitable societies.

Summer is here, marking the end of another academic year. Over the past month, our graduate and first-year masterās students (now second-year students) have dedicated themselves to designing, creating, and presenting their final expositions of artistic research.
As we conclude this year, we want to take a moment to celebrate the achievements of our students. Our graduate students will be receiving their diplomas this week, joining a long and esteemed line of alumni. We are incredibly proud of these six artistic researchers who have worked tirelessly to develop their practices, presenting their insights and findings in their Expositions of Artistic Research (EARs).
