Stripped back and acoustic, these two Amsterdam-based artists share their most recent work in an intimate setting, warm, honest, and unfiltered. Expect laughter, vulnerability, and a shared moment of “the gay experience” through song.

When the city grows quiet, Samuel’s voice comes to life. With guitar in hand, he offers a sneak peek of his upcoming album Romanticism, set for release in summer 2026.

Stemin, described as “The Weeknd but make it gay,” presents new music in its rawest form, diving into a darker chapter where desire and vulnerability collide.

A meditation on light and shadow, beginnings and endings - where kamancheh, electronics, and guitar dissolve into ritual.

“We live in an era where each dawn and dusk may be a beginning for some, an ending for others. This work is an offering to every sunrise that lifts us and every sunset that humbles us. A meditation on cycles of light, fragility, and impermanence.”

Storytelling is a beautiful thing that needs to be celebrated. And it is! On World Storytelling, which falls on the first day of spring and has been celebrated since 1991!

For quite some years Mezrab has joined this international tradition, with a storytelling marathon. We invite the diverse voices of the Mezrab, storytellers and a few musicians, together with six hosts, to host and entertain you from 12.00 till 24.00. You are welcome to join for a bit, or the entire day. There will be the red lentil Mezrab soup, of course, as well as some other delights made just for this day!

We’re honoring World Storytelling Day (yes it’s a real thing! and it’s celebrated all over the world!!) by telling stories the whole day, starting at noon!

More than 30 storytellers, 6 different hosts, different themes every two hours, and of course, every story is unique! Come listen, bring friends, old and new, let’s meet the spring together. 🌱

This year we draw inspiration from different sounds shaping our lives: what is the most precious sound in the world? What do you hear, when you close your eyes? When does the silence sound louder than drums? What are the sweet nothings we whisper into someone’s ear in the darkest hours of the night? How do we scream in joy? And in pain?….

Next week Mezrab brings a night of live funk, fusion jazz, soul and psychedelic grooves. Meet the musicians who will set the stage on fire! 🔥🎶

Ola Rud – vocals
Jazz and soul vocalist from Ukraine. Former radio host with an audience of 2+ million listeners and former ambassador of Leopolis Jazz Fest. Known for her distinctive, recognizable low timbre, Ola brings a powerful soulful presence and charismatic stage energy to every performance.

Agus Fulka – guitar
Award-winning guitarist and composer moving between flamenco, jazz and live electronics. Leader of the projects Aletheia and FEVER.

David Saruchanov – keys
Amsterdam-based pianist and composer (Conservatorium van Amsterdam) known for his rich harmonic language and expressive improvisation. He is also the founder of the jazz collective The Rabbits.

Aniol Torrents – bass
Catalan bassist and one of the most in-demand young bassists in Amsterdam’s music scene. Known for his versatile, groove-driven playing across jazz, indie, rock and electronic music. He is also a member of the pop band Melqui.

Guy Salamon – drums
Award-winning drummer and bandleader, known from the Guy Salamon Group and performances across Europe including North Sea Jazz Festival.

Special guest: Aviv Noam – saxophone
Saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist and composer based in Amsterdam. Leader of the award-winning Aviv Noam Quartet, performing at major venues and festivals and touring internationally around the world.
