Time to introduce myself.
I’m Anna Simone Levin, pilates, strength and yoga instructor (51yrs young🤸🏻♀️)
Welcome, and if you want to connect to book a private lesson in Amsterdam or Haarlem, I gotchu.
I specialise in pelvic floor issues, and I’m taking a menopause fitness training at the moment. I obvs love a nice grey top! I'm prone to breaking in dance spontaneously if the music's right 🔥💃🏻🔥
I’ve been teaching Pilates and movement since 1999. I was a professional modern dancer and choreographer from Toronto, Canada, and spent time performing in Toronto & New York(SUNY Purchase grad!), then running a dance company in Chicago before moving to Amsterdam. I taught Pilates to support myself and continued to do so in Amsterdam. Here, I worked with Anna Mora and Jelena Petrovic and worked at both their studios. When the Smartbody Teacher Training Program was established in 2008, I was the assistant director till fall of 2022.
I have been through it: the loss of my mother from ovarian cancer, IVF treatments, a c-section, depression and burnout. Living far from my family was an adventurous choice, but it’s not such a great one when the s**t hits the fan.
The last couple years I’ve spent rebuilding myself and my life, working for myself and re-claiming my desire for growth and pursuit of what is important to me. I’m building something here in my own imperfect, roundabout way. The theme for 2024 is becoming larger than life, standing tall and putting more out there. Welcome!

The challenge should always be there. Consistency, practice and focus create improvement. It may always be hard. Hard is not always bringing more strength, force or power. It can be hard to relax and let go. It can be challenging to bring attention into focus. It can be challenging to move in a smooth, connected way. Some days, the challenge is about showing up. But you'll never regret it: showing up to connect with your body.
