It's happening again! The Sint Maarten parade in Vondelpark. The start is at 18:00 at the entrance of the park at the Koninginneweg 1 in Amsterdam. Enjoy!

Nog even en het is weer 11 november. Dat betekent traditiegetrouw een sfeervolle lampionnenoptocht door het Vondelpark! De start is om 18:00 bij de ingang van het park aan de Koninginneweg 1 te Amsterdam. Toeters en Bellen gaat voorop met vrolijke muziek en Sint Maarten liedjes. Kom je ook? Tot dan!

BIG NEWS! After 22 years in the classroom - 17 of them running Jacaranda Tree Montessori - Simone will be stepping back from the classroom. The lovely Yuliya Adamchyk will be the new owner and directress from 1 December.

WIJ ZOEKEN MOOIE WARME JASSEN En natuurlijk stevige winterschoenen, voor moeders en hun kinderen op de vlucht. Iedere moeder wil het beste voor haar kind, in een vluchtelingenkamp is dat onmogelijk. Dan heb je hulp nodig! Daarom zamelen we tot 10 oktober massaal extra warmte in. Door heel Nederland en België zijn er meer dan 150 inzamelaars. Van jong tot oud, zoveel mensen doen weer mee. De tofste mensen stellen hun huis open voor al jullie fijne, warme jassen en schoenen. Kamers gevuld met kinderwagens, heel veel wasjes worden er gedraaid “Want dan is het echt een cadeautje”. Dank je wel voor dit warme gevoel dat we massaal verspreiden en delen. Heb jij nog een echt fijne warme jas of winterschoenen liggen? Kijk even bij de vorige post over wat we zoeken. De link naar de kaart met inzamelaars staat in onze bio. We zamelen in tot 10 oktober. Dus hoppa die kasten in.

This Saturday 11 November it's Sint Maarten! And we'll be walking through the Vondelpark with our handmade lanterns. Meet at 5:45pm by the klimboom near the Emmastraat entrance to the Vondelpark. The parade starts promptly at 6pm, so if you are late, just join the parade and enjoy the fun.

PS if it's raining, I'll be skipping it and cosying up on my couch with a blanket instead!

Finally ordered new postcards with our (not-so) new address! Didn't want to waste the old ones, so now the postcards are up to date again.

And that's a wrap. After 14 years of running my own classes, this may have been the most magical yet 🌟. We have the most beautiful new space, the children and families are so open to learning, caring and sharing, and every day my heart has been so full 💛. Thank you all for being part of it.

Packed up the classroom and cycled home in our old bakfiets with the plant babies to look after them over the break.

Classes resume on Monday 29 August. Happy summer all! 🍉🍋🍏
