5. Enjoying a private sunset boat cruise through Amsterdam’s iconic canals ⛵️

6. Celebrating sweet moments of fellowship—like candle-painting for a student’s birthday 🕯️

7. Having weekly lectures right in the middle of Amsterdam’s red light district 🚨

8. Simply ENJOYING learning together and being with fellow Jesus-loving abolitionists! ☺️

We are so proud of each person in the 2024 cohort and are so excited to see where they go with their new knowledge and desire to see Jesus transform in some of the darkest places in society.

A huge thank you to each student for showing up each day with a humble and teachable posture, hungry to learn about justice and healthy ways to combat s*xual exploitation.

Last week, we had the opportunity to represent Shine at the Europe Freedom Network’s annual Bridge conference. It was a wonderful week in Lisbon full of networking, learning and fellowship with Christians across Europe in the counter-human trafficking field.

Effective networking is essential in counter-human trafficking work, as one nonprofit or ministry can’t do everything themselves—we need one another! That’s a big reason why our team coordinates over 20 speakers for our six week course, so our students can begin or extend their professional network.

As EFN says, with God and each other, we are changing the situation!
