Constant worrying about things we CANNOT change leaves us feeling angry, drained of energy and helpless.
But there is always something we CAN do!
To bring back a sense of power and increase your influence over the circumstances you are in, try this:
1. Write down all the things you are worried about
(for example, worrying about my health)
2. Consider which aspects you can influence
(I can make sure I go for a walk so I keep moving)
3. Take action on the things you can influence
(I schedule my walks, I make sure I make time for it)
4. Let go of all which you cannot change
(If I can't change my circumstances I can still change the way I relate to them)
REMEMBER: You increase you energy levels and sense of control and power by focusing on the areas you CAN do something about!

Stress is not all bad. It helps us to survive.
Short-term stress gives us energy, helps us to focus and get motivated to tackle a challenge (or a threat) in front of us.
However, if a threat is going on for too long or a challenge is too big for us, we are at risk to experience prolonged stress.
Prolonged stress can manifest itself in various symptoms, such as:
-irritability
-tension
-overwhelm
-lack of motivation
-procrastination
-headaches
-poor sleep
-low self-esteem and more.
If you are experiencing prolonged stress, it might be a good idea to check-in with yourself more often, give yourself some space and extra care.
You can attend to yourself by inquiring more regularly, what am I feeling right now? What is it that I need right now? What does my body need? Give yourself permission to take care of your needs.
