Who are we as a school, and where are we going together?

Teacher Orientation Week began with connection and a shared sense of purpose. We welcomed seven new teachers, reconnected with returning faculty and staff, and created time to learn more about one another and the community we are building together.

Throughout the day, our directors shared presentations about our mission, vision, school structure, and priorities for the year ahead, helping everyone begin from a common understanding and direction.

This is only the beginning of a week that will include curriculum and planning, professional learning, assessment, and dedicated classroom preparation, all with one shared priority at the center: our students.

During an overnight camp at school, Middle School Outdoor Education students cooked together, built a fire, hiked, observed local wildlife, created art on the beach, and spent the night camping outdoors.

Beyond the adventure, experiences like these give students opportunities to develop independence, teamwork, problem solving, and a deeper connection with the natural environment.

Learning about sustainability becomes more meaningful when students can take action.🤝🏻

During Sustainability class, Grades 3 and 4 welcomed Prof. Dr. Eric Olson, who introduced students to endangered tree species and explained why planting and protecting them is important for their conservation.

Each student received seeds from the Cristóbal and Carbón trees to take home and plant with their families, extending the learning beyond the classroom and into the community.
