Its mission is to deliver relevant basic education through cooperative and responsible instructions that will produce individuals who are ecologically flexible in coping with the challenging realities of life. Tu-og, Leon Iloilo, it was established in 1947 as a Primary School and became a complete elementary school in 1973. It is 6.2 km. away from Buga Central Elementary School, the
site of the District Office of the DepEd Leon II. The distance from the poblacion is 7.5 km. accessible through a rough gravely road by motorcycle and other public utility vehicles. The school is staffed by 6 nationally funded teachers, one kindergarten teacher and one head teacher. The school site is hilly with an area of 9 219 square meters. Half of it is covered with cyclone wire fence suspended with a wooden posts, the other half is protected by bamboo fence. An access road connects the school site to the barangay road. The electric power source is from ILECO I. An electric motor -generated deep well is the source of water. It has five (5) buildings with nine (9) classrooms; one room of the 2-CL Bagong Lipunan Building serves as a multi-purpose room for the head teacher’s office, health and guidance clinic, the learning resource center and library. One (1) CL BSE building serves as the Home Economics room. The nutrition and study centers are housed in temporary gazebos constructed by the PTA. Tu-og Elementary School excel not only in academics but also in extra co-curricular activities. The school has participated in the higher level competition such as the congressional level. The scenic beauty of the school, surrounded by the tall trees and flowers provide a refreshing and stress –free environment. It serves as the avenue for the pupils to explore and learn effectively.
