Adelante

News update:
We are finishing up classes this week and starting our next course the 27th. All of the students have shown a lot of improvement. We have also started up the conversation groups on Friday again. It is starting up kind of slow but we are getting more people. We are promoting at the colleges and local high schools for more people. Carita Feliz is going really well too. We have a good amount of students each week for that program. Tatiana is doing a great job here at Adelante. Taking on a lot of the responsibilities like it's natural for her.

Vecinos 2013 trip. I am happy to say that we had a great trip this year with our Vecinos program. This year we were able to serve four schools with supplies for the students and teachers for the whole year.
These school supplies included: notebooks, graph notebooks, pens, pencils, pencil sharpeners, erasers, and rulers. Over 500 students were provided with these supplies for the whole year. The teachers were provided with various things needed in the classroom such as: markers, chalk, brooms, mops, paper, pens, whiteboard, and erasers.
With the help of some very skilled veterinarians we were able to serve 462 animals with vitamins and de-worming medicine in the 4 communities we visited.
We were also able to help the communities with a lot of needed dentistry work. We were able to see over 45 patients in these communities and make over 53 extractions.
Without the help of all our volunteers and the countless hours of preparing, these communities would probably not get the help that is desperately needed. We are currently still working with these communities and are in the process of fixing the desks and securing the classrooms. I want to say thank you to everyone for making this possible!
