It is with profound sorrow and deep regret that the African Union Students' Club pays tribute to the illustrious life and legacy of Professor Oculli Okello, our revered founder. His passing on 26/07/2025 marks the end of an era, leaving an indelible void in the hearts of countless individuals who had the privilege of knowing him.
Professor Okello's visionary leadership and desiring commitment to promoting unity, intellectual discourse, and cultural exchange among African students inspired a generation of leaders and scholars. His pioneering efforts in establishing the African Union Students' Club at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, created a platform for young minds to converge, share ideas, and forge lasting bonds.
Through his tireless mentorship and guidance, Professor Okello empowered students to reach their full potential, instilling in them the values of academic excellence, critical thinking, and social responsibility. His legacy extends far beyond the confines of our institution, as his impact resonated across the continent, shaping the trajectory of African scholarship and leadership.
