More people are quietly making a difficult decision this season to step away from farming due to the rising cost of fertilizers and farm inputs.
And understandably so.
But thereās another side to this conversation.
Some households are now thinking
āLetās just buy and store food during the harvest season.ā
But then the question is,
if many people stop farming, who will produce the food we plan to buy?
Harvest does not happen in the market, It starts on the farm.
And behind every bag of food in the market
is a farmer who chose to plant, despite the cost and uncertainty.
And for those of us still willing to farm
have we considered the bigger picture?
Have we checked the unexpected weather changes, seasonal predictions, rainfall patterns, and uncertainties that now shape agriculture?
Today, farming is no longer about effort only,
it is also information, timing, and awareness.
This is why agriculture is not just a personal decision,
it is a collective survival system.
What are you planting this season?

EVER HEARD OF OVERHYDRATION? š§
With this intense heat, everyone is saying ādrink more water, stay hydrated.ā
And yes, thatās important⦠but hereās something many people donāt realize š
DRINKING TOO MUCH WATER CAN ACTUALLY BE HARMFUL.
Surprising, right?
Itās called OVER HYDRATION.
When you drink excessively, your bodyās salt balance can be disrupted, leading to a condition called HYPONATREMIA.
This can leave you feeling dizzy, weak, or unwell.
So what should you do in this heat?
š§ Drink water regularly, not excessively
Increase your intake, but donāt force it
Listen to your body, not just the temperature
Have you ever felt uncomfortable after drinking too much water, or do you just keep drinking because of the heat?
Your goal shouldn't just be to drink more⦠but to hydrate smartly.

šCHRISTMAS WITHOUT THE CHILLS!
Remember that cool air that used to herald Christmas?
From mid-November, the mornings would feel crisp, the evenings cooler, and suddenly you knew Christmas was near. That cozy feeling set the mood instantly!
But this year⦠not so much. The cooler weather didnāt arrive, and I realized I couldnāt just slip into Christmas mode.
And that got me thinking š¤
This isnāt just about me, itās a glimpse of what is happening with our climate. š
Changing weather patterns, warmer winters, unpredictable temperature shifts⦠the coolness that once marked the season is becoming less reliable, reminding us how our environment is shifting.
So, if you find yourself trying to āfeelā Christmas but the weather isnāt Christmassy, this is a gentle reminder that the world is changing, and we need to notice it⦠while still finding ways to celebrate life.

God Stands Against All Forms of Gender-Based Violence
In the story of the woman brought before Jesus, He stepped in and stopped a crowd ready to condemn her.
In that moment, He showed that God stands with the vulnerable, never with abusers or those who stay silent while harm is done.
Today violence against women doesnāt only happen in streets or homes.
It happens behind screens, via messages, social media, and hidden cameras.
Digital abuse is real. And God doesnāt support physical or virtual violence, misuse of power or digital harm.
GBV, whether physical or digital, is not just wrong.
It is ungodly.
It violates human dignity, justice, and the heart of God.
Letās stand with survivors. Letās speak up. Letās end GBV.

16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM AGAINST GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE
What the Law Says About Online Harassment & Cyberbullying in Nigeria
Online abuse is not ājust banterā, itās a crime.
Under Section 24 of Nigeriaās Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, itās illegal to send messages that are:
āGrossly offensive, obscene, menacing, or false messages sent to cause annoyance, insult, fear, or harm.ā
ā”ļø Penalty: Up to ā¦7 million fine or 3 years imprisonment.
ā”ļø If the message bullies, threatens, or harasses and causes fear of harm or death,
Penalty increases to 10 years imprisonment and ā¦25 million fine.
For women and girls, this matters deeply.
šø Online harassment, cyber-bullying, and stalking are forms of technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV).
šø It silences women, spreads fear, and violates their rights, just like physical violence.
šø Knowing the law empowers survivors to speak out and seek justice.
