𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐆𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐩 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐬, 𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐭 𝐚 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐭

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐦𝐲 “𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬” 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐠𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐦𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐚. 𝐈 𝐠𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.

Years ago, two Christian sisters rushed into my house like breaking-news reporters. I welcomed them with joy, not knowing they came with a full gossip package and complementary heartbreak.

They said my best friend had been running my name through the mud like a CELEBRITY scandal. And they didn’t forget to add extra pepper… including what she said about my pregnancy.

As they were talking, I noticed they kept looking at my face, waiting for tears, anger, or a small preview of fire and brimstone.

But I gave them peace.
And confusion.
And silence.

They left, looking like their mission failed. But let me confess… inside me was hot. I was boiling like a fresh yam on a gas cooker. I paced the room like a security guard on night duty. Sleep packed its bags and left.

But one thing saved me… prayer.
Not petty, “Holy Ghost fire” prayer.
Healing prayer.

I prayed until the bitterness lost strength. I prayed until peace returned like an unexpected visitor. And when I finally went to see her, I spoke calmly. No rage. No tears. No Bible verse threats.

She apologised.
I forgave.
But I didn’t forget the lesson.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean handing your heart back to the person who dropped it earlier.

Here’s what I learned:

• Handle issues maturely
• Don’t be the loudspeaker for the enemy
• Don’t scatter what God is trying to build
• And please… stop betraying good people

Victory isn’t winning the argument.
Victory is protecting your peace.

SUNDAY TONIC

I have often wondered why people get offended over trivia issues. I have to address this to help a lot of Church people.

🛑 The Ministry of Offense
Some people are missing their miracles—not because God isn’t willing, but because they are too easily offended.

📖 Mark 6:1–6
Even in His hometown, Jesus couldn’t do many miracles—because they got too familiar and offended.
Unbelief shut the door to their blessing.

Today, it’s still happening.
People get offended at pastors and ministers over little things:

How they dress 👗
How they speak 🎤
Where they come from 🌍
Even their grammar! 📚

Instead of receiving healing, they go home the same.
Why?
Because offense blocks the flow of the Spirit.
Familiarity breeds dishonor. Dishonor blocks miracles.

Bitterness opens the door to spiritual attacks.
Some are sick, stuck, or spiritually dry—not because of the devil, but because they’re holding offense.

📖 Hebrews 12:15
”Watch out that no bitter root grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.”

Let it go.
Overlook the offense.
Pray instead of criticize.
Honor instead of despise.
📖 Proverbs 19:11– “It is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.”

When you honor the vessel, you receive the blessing.
📖 Matthew 10:41
”Whoever receives a prophet… receives a prophet’s reward.”

Choose healing.
Choose growth.
Choose honor.
Don’t let offense rob you.
Pray for a heart free from pride and full of grace.

Leave this ministry of Offense and move on to the ministry of Christ. Be like Jesus Christ in all ramifications in Jesus name.

𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐄𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝: 𝟓 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

Self-editing is an essential step in the writing process. It helps you refine your ideas, clarify your message, and perfect your tone. Here are five simple ways to self-edit your writing:

𝑻𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒂 𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌

Before you start editing, take a break from your writing. This will help you clear your mind and approach your work with fresh eyes. When you return to your writing, you'll be more likely to catch errors and inconsistencies.

𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝑨𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒅
Reading your writing aloud is a great way to catch awkward phrasing, unclear sentences, and grammatical errors. As you read, pay attention to how your words sound together. Make adjustments as needed to improve the flow and clarity of your writing.

𝑪𝒉𝒆𝒄𝒌 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒚
Consistency is key to good writing. Check your work for consistent:

- Verb tense
- Point of view
- Tone
- Style

Make sure your writing is consistent throughout. If you're writing a formal piece, avoid using informal language. If you're writing a humorous piece, keep the tone light and playful.

𝑪𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒍𝒖𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓
Good writing is concise writing. Cut any words or phrases that aren't essential to your message. Look for:

- Unnecessary adverbs
- Overused phrases
- Repetitive language

By cutting the clutter, you'll make your writing more efficient and effective.

𝑮𝒆𝒕 𝒂 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒏
Finally, get a second opinion on your writing. Ask a friend or fellow writer to review your work and provide feedback. This will help you catch any errors or inconsistencies you may have missed.

By following these five simple steps, you'll be able to self-edit your writing like a pro. Remember to take your time, be patient, and keep practising. Happy writing!
