BAYELSA STATE STUDENTS COMMEND GOV. DICKSON FOR APPOINTING MR. MARKSON IWORISO DANIEL AS COMMISSIONER OF INFORMATION & ORIENTATION AND HON. JONATHAN OBUEBITE AS COMMISSIONER OF EDUCATION, URGES THEM TO PARTNER WITH THE STUDENTS COMMUNITY.

The leadership of the apex students body in the state - National Union Of Bayelsa State Students (NUBSS) Worldwide commend His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson for appointing Mr. Markson Iworiso Daniel former Chief Press Secretary to the Governor as commissioner of Information & Orientation and Hon. Jonathan Obuebite as commissioner of Education, stating that he made the right choices.

These statements were made by comr. Ozu Important, NUBSS national president yesterday in Yenagoa. His words were

"I commend Gov. Dickson for the new appointments, he made the right choices for the offices and they are well deserved"

Comr. Ozu who further stated that it was a welcome development to Bayelsans described them as experienced, committed and with integrity.

"This is a wellcome development to the Restoration Govt and to Bayelsans at large owing to their huge wealth of experience, spotless integrity and high sense of commitment in serving the state" he said

The NUBSS national president Comrade Ozu Important ended by urging them to partner with the students of the state, emphasizing that students are strategic in the development of society. In his own words he said

"I urge them both to continue to partner with the students community as students are strategic in the development of any modern society"

BAYELSA STATE STUDENTS WELCOMES H.S DICKSON, COMMENDS CPS-DANIEL MARKSON FOR ORGANIZING ESSAY COMPETITION

The leadership of the apex student body in the State-NUBSS welcome his Excellency Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson after his vacation, this statement was made while the the National President Comr. Ozu Fredrick Important was addressing student leaders in a meeting to decide critical steps to be taken for general welfare of the Bayelsa state students community. He further noted that the Essay Competition organized by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor was commendable.

Again, the National President pointed out that he believes the Governor is back to address issues bothering Bayelsa State Students. He then charged the students to make good use of the ASUU strike and abstain from any form of violence.

This is to inform the general public that the NUBSS NATIONAL CONVENTION that was earlier slated to hold from 5th-7th January 2017 has been shifted to hold from January 19th-21st 2017
This change in date is to ensure proper planning.
The NATIONAL CONVENTION PLANNING COMMITTEE wishes to apologise to the general public for the inconveniences this change may cause.

With a heart of tears and sorry we cry for your help as leaders to bring to limelight this unified structure of intellectuals to the entire state. As intellectuals we don't need the guns to get into the creeks neither are we going to be tools that is needed just at the time elections,but rather a unified Union that is aimed at the Educational welfare of our youths.

We will in one voice stand for AN EDUCATION/STUDENTS ORIENTATED LEADER.

YENAGOA: In a press briefing held at Ijaw house, secretariat of the National Union of Izon-Ebe students (NUIS), worldwide, Yenagoa, Bayelsa state,12th July 2016.

The President of the union, Comrade Gesikeme Fulutu, has approved the setting up of a three member convention planning committee, for the 2016/2017 academic year.

According to the statement, the members of the planning committee, with their portfolios are as follows:
