‎Throw Back photo "The No. 10"
‎
‎Years ago, on a sunlit afternoon, at the thanksgiving service held on Sunday, 12/10/2003 by the 2004 B.Sc Political Science and Public Administration Class of the University of Uyo, ten young men posted for what seemed like an ordinary photo, just undergraduates, bonded by faith, hope, and ambition. They, unknowingly but prophetically, were dreamers holding hands together through academic struggles.
‎
‎What makes this number more than a count and too significant to be ignored is the power behind it. Ten is the number of divine order, testimony, completeness and inclusivity for a class of 168 students. Click the link to view the full story.

THE GOD-FACTOR CLASS
Below is a photograph showing some of the 2004 B.Sc Political
Science and Public Administration Graduates, University of Uyo,
Uyo. The picture was taken on Sunday, 12 October 2003 at a
Thanksgiving Service to commemorate God’s mercy on the entire
2004 Class of 168 students. The event took place at the Mantle
Tabernacle (Commonwealth Chapel), 34, Itu Road, Uyo.
It could be recollected that in 1999 when this Class/Batch of
students in the Department of Political Science and Public
Administration, University of Uyo started its four (4) year B.Sc
Academic Programme (which added extra one year due to ASUU
Strikes), death was busy taking its toll on students of other
Departments (who were comparatively much fewer in number than
Political Science) on monthly basis.
Incidentally, one of our ladies took ill and left the University for
treatment. Another also took ill and abandoned studies.
To this end, the Class-Representative, Mr. Friday Akai (now Dr.
Friday Akai) approached Rev. David Titus (a member of the Class)
at the popular Room 100 Lecture Hall, University of Uyo (Uniuyo),
and solicited his priestly mediation for the Class to avert the
imminent menace. Without hesitation, Rev. Titus led the Class on a
brief but powerful Intercessory Prayers.
Guess what? The two ladies did not only recover from their deadly
health challenges, but returned and completed their studies and
graduated with the rest of us in 2003 without loss of any student:
Num. 31:49 Amp…Your servants have counted the warriors under
our command, and not one … of us is missing.
The short story, just told, was what informed the Thanksgiving led
by Dr. Friday Akai and Mr. Moses Essien (now Hon. Moses Essien,
representing Ibiono Ibom State Constituency, Akwa Ibom State
House of Assembly, Uyo). The Class presented five plastic chairs to
the Church as token of appreciation to God for His mercies on the God-Factor Class. Understandably, the surprise visit by the Class
to Mantle Tabernacle on the remarkable Sunday, was the Class’ way
of honouring God through his servant, Rev. David Titus (the
Founder and Lead-Pastor of the Ministry) who stood in the gap for
the Class as earlier indicated.
The Thanksgiving Service, with almost nothing to show in terms of
glamour, human, material, financial capacity, witnessed Gods
presence and prophetic utterances by the Lead-Pastor, who played
the keyboard and preached. The service was not ordinary. It
provoked the heavens into bestowing on the entire Class, grace of
multiplication and glorification (Jer. 30:19) as could be seen in the
cream of people the Class has so far produced, including the
Commissioner for Transport, Rt. Hon. Etim Uno; and the first
Pastor-Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His-Excellency, Pastor Umo
Eno at the 20th Prophetic year (2003-2023).
Worthy of note at this point is the above mentioned 168 student
population in a Class. That means, the 14 of us who attended the
Thanksgiving, prophetically represented perfectgovernmental/authority 12 each. Truly, this God-Factor Class is
into greater glorious manifestations ahead.
To God be the glory.
Long live the Uniuyo Pol. Sc. & Pub. Admin. 2004 Class Graduates!
Long live the University of Uyo!
Long live the Government of Akwa Ibom State!!
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!!!
AMEN

Intellectualism without moralism epitomises ignorantism of ivory towerism

In 2002, during a revival meeting in Uyo, a Black-American preacher promised to donate "band-sticks" to a local church, but due to his accent and the congregation’s assumptions, they believed he meant a full American-made bandstand.
When he returned with only a pair of drumsticks, confusion and disappointment followed—highlighting how misinterpretation, especially in cross-cultural contexts, can lead to misplaced expectations, a theme central to the book "Dimension of Interpretations.
