Last Saturday in continuation of the training sessions for the selected participants for the 2021 cohort, more members of the faculty took turns to share beautifully and add further insight to the leadership development journey of the participants.

It's been such a amazing time of learning and growing and yesterday session was no less. Our selected participants went through the following courses;

Last weekend the training sessions for the participants of the fellowship program for the 2021 cohort started in earnest at the CXI Learning Centre, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
Participants were taken through the following courses;
1. Effective Proposal and Grant Writing
2. Turning Passion and Creativity into a World Class Brand
3. Teamwork, Partnerships and Collaborations
It was a great time of learning as members of faculty poured out of their wealth of knowledge and experience into the participants. We are looking forward to the group and individual projects that will be embarked upon by the participants with direct impact on society.
The fellowship program is designed for the development of new breed of young leaders and we're happy the objective is on course.
Special thanks to the following distinguished members of the faculty that handled the sessions last weekend. Massive thanks to the Director and Management Team of the CXI Learning Centre, Opolo-Elebele road, Yenagoa for hosting us. Thanks to the participants for availing themselves to the process.

The Zygote Fellowship Program which is open to young people between the ages of 16 to 21 years old includes an in-class training facilitated by a seasoned and robust faculty.
Courses in Proposal and Grant Writing, Effective Communication, Public Speaking, Peace Building, Food Security and Social Welfare, Leading Organizations, Branding, Gender Based Issues and Community Development, Research, Entrepreneurial Mindset, as well as Systems, Structures and Processes will be taken.
The Fellowship Program is structured to deliberately raise young leaders with immediate direct impact on the community.

C A L L F O R A P P L I C A T I O N S – THE ZYGOTE FELLOWSHIP
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME:
The Zygote Fellowship Programme is a fully funded leadership training program for young leaders instituted by Zygote and Zoe Services, a leadership development and training, publishing and enterprise support consulting firm. The Zygote Fellowship is being undertaken through its Department for Future Leaders Grooming called the TILE Centre: Teenage Innovation, Leadership and Entrepreneurship Centre.
The Programme is administered by a Steering Committee, a Selections Committee, a Faculty, and the Internship group and supported by well-meaning individuals and organizations who serve as partners.
OUR OBJECTIVE:
The Zygote Fellowship is a leadership development and social impact vehicle for the identification, training and empowerment of excellent young leaders in the areas of innovation, research, social enterprise, community leadership and governance.
WHO CAN APPLY:
Young people between the ages of 16 to 21 years
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
(i) At least, a Secondary School Certificate
(ii) Good writing and speaking skills
(iii) Be computer literate
(iv) Must be passionate about creating change
(V) Must have an internet enabled phone.
(Vi) Must be resident in Yenagoa or be able to avail themselves for the Internship in Yenagoa.
APPLICANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO:
1. Write a motivation letter stating their reasons for applying.
2. Write an essay identifying a problem they see around their community and what they can do to change it.
DURATION OF FELLOWSHIP:
6 Months (January to June 2021)
BREAKDOWN OF FELLOWSHIP:
Leadership training sessions (Weekends for a period of 1 month at a designated training hub)
The Fellowship period (3 months)
Change Project (2 months)
EXPECTED OUTCOME:
At the end of the Fellowship, successful candidates will be awarded the Fellowship and thereafter inducted into the Alumni of the Programme where further leadership skills development, mentorship, career development, linkages and networking will be provided.
Through the Fellowship Programme, sound, disciplined and model young leaders will be groomed and produced who will lead with character and champion the cause for value-based leadership and positive change at all levels which will in turn translate into a peaceful, progressive society
