Congratulations to Comr. Zige, former National Executive and Former ELeco Member of BYMELSSA.
He has just been appointed as SA on Special Duty to the Governor of Bayelsa State.
This is a big plus to the BYMELSSA family.

BYMELSSA NATIONAL EXECUTIVE PRESIDENT COMR. IGBOGI AZIBAODUASI TREASURE WAS AT NOVENA UNIVERSITY, FOR A ONE DAY WORKING VISIT TO BYMELSSA NOVENA UNIVERSITY CHAPTER.

The purpose of the visit was for the President to familiarize and identify with members at Novena University and also orient them about the benefits of the Association to all Bayelsa Medical Laboratory Science students. We discussed on the official inauguration of the chapter Excos and issues related to the welfare of members was also discussed.

The President was filled with ecstasy as members welcomed her cordially. The Director of Social and Orientation; Comr. Ogori Deborah, was actively on ground to organize members of her Chapter to receive the National President. It was indeed a great one. In which after the interactive season with the Students, a team led by the National President, paid a visit to the HOD of the Department of Medical Laboratory Science, Novena University, to further discuss issues of optimal concerns.

Thank you Novena University for the warm reception and special appreciation to the Director of Social and Orientation Comr Ogori Deborah.

Day One

In solidarity; Bayelsa Medical Laboratory Science Students Association (BYMELSSA); led by her National Executive President Comr. Bowei-Ofongo Ebipadei; joined the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN) Bayelsa State Branch; to commemorate the World Malaria Day.

Whereby, the event kicked start with a rally from Peace part Onopa to Swali market, Yenagoa.
Free Medical test for malaria was done and mosquito treated nets were distributed.

It was indeed a wonderful experience and BYMELSSA led by Comr. Bowei-Ofongo Ebipadei use the opportunity to commend the AMLSN Bayelsa branch led by MLS Selepre Hannah Richard for carrying out the initiative and everyother persons that participated.

BYMELSSA NATIONAL EXECUTIVE PRESIDENT COMR. BOWEI-OFONGO EBIPADEI SIGNED THE BYMELSSA NATIONAL CONSTITUTION INTO LAW

At the 4th National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held at Yenagoa on the 4th of March, 2022. The Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee; Comr. Francis presented the drafted constitution to the National President for his assent.

The Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee stated that; the committee was comitted to deliver on the mandate given to them, even though the task was huge. They ensured that, they did a thorough job and all the Organs of the Association was duly consulted and their approvals were given. Onbehalf of the entire members of the Constitution Drafting Committee, he presented the constitution to the National Executive President for his assent.

The President on receiving the document stated that he is very grateful to all the committee members for their efforts to ensure that; BYMELSSA now have a working document as a Constitution. That it was stated in his inauguration speech; to ensure that, before he leaves office, he would be able to create a structure for BYMELSSA that would stand the test of time and indeed to have a Constitution is actually a solid foundation for the structure.
The President used the opportunity to thank members of the NEC for their support and critical stakeholders who financed the process; that indeed he is very grateful to every person that has contributed to the progress of the Association.
The Constitution was signed into law with an immediate effect, by both the National Executive President and the Constitution Drafting Committee Chairman.

BYMELSSA PAID A COURTESY VISIT TO THE DIRECTOR OF MEDICAL LABORATORY SERVICES; MINISTRY OF HEALTH BAYELSA STATE.

A delegation led by the National President of BYMELSSA; Comr. Bowei-Ofongo Ebipadei; in company of the National Public Relations Officer, Comr. Ebomo Salvation and Secretary of the Constitution Drafting Committee, Comr. Ebimunu Kemeladei.
The visit was to familiarize and congratulate the Director, MLS Fesei M. Eleman on his newly appointed position to head the newly created Directorate of Medical Laboratory Services of the Ministry of Health Bayelsa State.

The President said that as students of the noble profession that we're happy and impress with the achievement of our fathers in the profession. Especially with the creation of the Directorate of Medical Laboratory Services. Indeed; it is a stepping stone to achieve greater heights; which will give room for rapid growth of the profession in Bayelsa State. Also, that students are ready to work with the Director when the need arises and he have their full support. In which the President also use the opportunity to commend the Governor of Bayelsa State; Sen. Douye Diri, for effecting the creation of the Directorate of Medical Laboratory Services, which has been kept in view for a long time.
The Director was fully briefed about the activities of the Association in the which the forth coming Maiden National Convention of the Association was presented to the Director.

The Director in his remark; was very excited for the visit and sent his gratitude to the students for creating time out of their tight academic activities to pay him a visit which he described as noble. He also extended his hand of friendship to the association that he is ready and willing to support the the Association any time any day; that his doors are always open to who ever.
He stated that things would be better with the creation of the Directorate.
He also encourage the Delegation to continue to be good Ambassadors of the Profession and take their students serious.
