Why is it that some relatives, friends, and acquaintances won’t patronize your business, even when they know you sell exactly what they need?

They’ll see your posts.
They’ll watch your status.
They’ll even compliment your products. 😂

But when it’s time to buy, they’ll happily patronize someone they don’t know.

Then suddenly, the moment they need something urgently and don’t have enough money for an immediate purchase, they remember you:

“Ah, you sell this thing, abi? Please, can you give me and I’ll pay you later?” 😩😂

And sometimes, they expect you to understand because “we’re friends/family.”

But here’s the question:

Is it wrong to expect the people close to you to support your business, or should business and personal relationships remain completely separate?

And if someone consistently refuses to patronize you but only remembers your business when they need a favour, would you still help them? 👀

You may not have all the answers. You may not know exactly how everything will work out. And that’s okay.

Sometimes, all you need is the courage to take the next step, the faith to keep going, and the patience to trust the process. 🙏🏽✨

Let’s settle this: Is honesty enough in a relationship, or should there also be transparency? 👀

If your partner asks you a question and you tell the truth, that’s honesty.

But what if there are things they never asked about, yet you know they would want to know? Is choosing not to mention them still honest, or does it become secrecy?

For example: You’re still talking to your ex, but your partner has never asked. You didn’t lie about it, so technically you were honest… right? 🤔

Or should you have told your partner without waiting to be asked?

At what point does “privacy” become “secrecy”?

I want to hear both sides. 👇🏽
