TWENTY-FOUR THINGS YOU MUST DO FOR 2026 TO BE A GREAT YEAR FOR YOU
ONE
Pray, plan and position yourself wisely. Do not wander into 2026 casually. Prepare spiritually, mentally, financially and socially. Enter the new year with strategy, clarity and poise.
TWO
Prioritise your health. Your dreams mean nothing if your body cannot carry them. Learn to eat well, rest intentionally, exercise moderately, and do your routine medical check ups.
THREE
Take self development seriously. Nothing transforms until you do.
FOUR
Join a great community. Growth is rarely a solo project. A strong, intelligent, values driven community accelerates your ascent.
FIVE
Stop merely meeting people but rather, start maintaining and sustaining good relationships.
Your height in ten years will be determined by the quality of the good relationships you nurtured today.
SIX
As the year ends, prune your circle with wisdom. Release those who hinder you. Cultivate better friendships that support your progress.
SEVEN
Work on your attitude, behaviour and character.
Many are not stuck because of lack of opportunities rather, they are stuck because of poor conduct. A First Class Degree cannot rescue someone with an appalling attitude.
EIGHT
Devote yourself to someone or something good. Commitment to the right people and things gives your life direction. Belong somewhere and be rooted there. Stop drifting throughout your own existence in life.
NINE
Be consistent. Do your work daily with uncommon devotion and dedication, not only on good days. Consistency produces results that motivation alone cannot give.
TEN
Learn to network properly. Networking is not begging for numbers or disturbing strangers.
It is the art of building meaningful, mutually respectful relationships.
ELEVEN
Become more emotionally disciplined. Not every provocation deserves a reaction. Learn restraint. Manage your impulses. Emotional maturity protects your reputation.
TWELVE
Invest in your appearance and personal branding. How you present yourself determines the rooms you are invited into. Look like someone who respects their future.
THIRTEEN
Surround yourself with ambitious people. Sit with those who challenge you. Walk with those who inspire you. Spend time with those who make growth feel natural.
FOURTEEN
Improve your financial intelligence. Learn how money works. Learn how to earn more, keep more, multiply it, and invest wisely. Financial ignorance is expensive.
FIFTEEN
Read more books deliberately. Reduce your screen time. One book per month will shift your thinking and elevate your world view. You become what you read. Knowledge refines your mind and strengthens your decisions.
SIXTEEN
Start documenting your journey. Write things down. Document your thoughts, lessons, achievements and mistakes in your journal. Reflection builds self-awareness.
SEVENTEEN
Declutter your life. Your environment influences your clarity. Clean your space. Delete old files. Organise your finances. Create room for a fresh start.
EIGHTEEN
Seek forgiveness where necessary. Free your conscience. Clear emotional debt. Approach those you’ve wronged with humility.
NINETEEN
Set clear, realistic, structured goals. Stop carrying vague dreams into new years. Write clear objectives and back them with timelines, systems and action plans.
TWENTY
Upgrade your soft skills, ommunication proficiency, emotional intelligence and leadership skills. These are the skills that open refined doors.
TWENTY-ONE
Enhance your hard and technical skills. Competence is currency. Upgrade what you know and how well you can do it.
TWENTY-TWO
Attend the right events. Your network, visibility and opportunities grow when you show up. Aim to attend at least one meaningful event every month.
TWENTY-THREE
Learn to sell. Sell your skills, your services, your value, your expertise. The ability to sell will define your earning power.
TWENTY-FOUR
Get a real mentor. This is not by casually calling someone “mentor” but through genuine accountability. You would become like your mentor if you remain consistent under their mentorship.
