YOU'VE GOT TO GROW INTO IT

Have you ever had the regret of messing an invaluable relationship up?

Success which is desired by all yet attained only by some, is relational.

Every now and then we seek ways to connect and work with people at various levels and spheres of influence or walk in life, in order to realize our goals.

Most people aren't quite where they would like to be in life. More often than not, the reason is due to their lack of understanding of the power of right attitude and good thinking.

Right attitude and good thinking are keys to your relationship success with people who are indispensable components of the achievement of your goals and overall success.

Many of us seem to always beat every single invaluable relationship out of kilter, mess the opportunities up, and put the blame on others.

We let selfishness and ingratitude get the better side of us, we don't care, we are rude and arrogant, we pick offenses excessively, we are never wrong, we never listen...

The consequences of messing up invaluable relationships always come back at us, if not immediately, surely eventually.

In every relationship we give and receive, all things being equal.

We receive from parents, mentors, contemporaries, proteges, leaders, followers, sponsors, superiors, colleagues, subordinates, friends and families.

And since receiving is a beneficial part of an invaluable relationship, which is vital for your success, I have this list to share with you.

Be it blessings, grace, anointing, impartation, favour, kindness, knowledge, wisdom, understanding, idea, plan, connection, opportunity, money, or other forms of wealth, you cannot truly receive from:

1. Someone you Hate
2. Someone you are in 'Competition' with
3. Someone you are Angry with
4. Someone you are Jealous of
5. Someone you don't Like
6. Someone you don't Respect
7. Someone you Gossip
8. Someone whose downfall you wish for
9. Someone you haven't forgiven
10. Someone from whom you ought to have received forgiveness.

It's not that the person cannot give you... The problem lies in your truly receiving.

Hence, it's important to change any defective thinking you might have and get your attitude right.

Have you ever messed any invaluable relationship up?

If yes, there's no need to abase yourself. Just learn from it in order to improve your future experiences. You'll love the rewards.

How about if you have caught yourself indulging negative thinking and exhibiting poor attitude?

You can bring yourself to the place of discipline and deal with it thoroughly. Learn whatever you need to learn and become better, stronger and wiser.

Yes, you can if you will!

Learn, change and grow!

God has very big shoes for you, but you've got to grow into it. The size of the shoes will never be reduced to your present level.

One of the foremost of the Founding Fathers of the United States, Benjamin Franklin said something about growth, he said.

"Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning."

And so I would love you to say these words with me;

"I will always do my best to think positively, to choose the right attitude, and to act appropriately, so help me God!"

Remember that you're meant for success, for greatness and for God. Don't accept anything less, for anything less isn't your friend but I'm your friend.

HONORING AND GLORIFY GOD WITH YOUR BODY

I suppose the commandment of honoring and glorifying God with our bodies is one of the most difficult for us to keep. It's not like we don't have the capacity to keep it. But we wouldn't just keep it. And how heartbreaking that is. It breaks God's heart.

Even as people who go to church, we indulge s*xual immoralities of all forms; s*x before marriage (fornication), s*x outside marriage (adultery), lust, po*******hy, nudity...

Some of us have made out of fornication and adultery businesses.

Most ladies' excuse for doing this is "I need to feed and take care of myself. I need to provide for myself."

Now if you as a lady or woman, have similar or same excuse as such, please be patient and rub mind with me. Let's reason together by the help of the Holy Spirit.

Scripture says in 1 Cor 6: 13[NKJV] "...Now the body is not for s*xual immoralities, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body."

This simply means that your body is not meant for fornication or adultery. That it is meant for the service of God, and it is God's responsibility to provide for that body that's dedicated to His service.

Are you trying to see that you have been doing it the wrong way all this while?

Instead of you to serve God with your body so that He provides for you, you serve others with your body, and so they in their inadequacy, provide for you; urgent ks, airtimes, salaries, house rent, gas fee, hair maintenance, food allowance, clothes allowance, school expenses...

The difference - God's provisions(including spouse) are reliable, consistent, lasting, satisfying, and have no side effect.

But man's provisions are unreliable, inconsistent and short term. Man's provisions do not even measure up to the value with which you're exchanging for them. You're drastically shortchanged. And they have side effect more catastrophic than you can imagine; STDs, contraction and fusion of spirits, loss of insight, dearth of vision, loss of lives, multiplication of sins, destruction of the family unit, and many other consequences.

Serve God with your body and God services you.

Serve others with your body and others service you.

There is no sitting on the fence! There's no serving of two masters at a time. You must let go of one for the other.

The choice is yours!

But I'll encourage you to choose the obvious, right path.

Trust and try God on this and you will see His faithfulness. I tell you, there are many ladies God is personally and totally taking care of because they put their trust in Him and not in men.

As for the male counterpart, I don't know if he has the same or similar excuse for indulging s*xual immoralities.

But since we all go to church, and so that we'll not keep deceiving ourselves even in death and eventually get our souls destroyed, I want to encourage us to do just one thing.

Yes please, let's do this!

Let's empty out the garbages(not only s*xual immoralities of course) in our soul for God to come cleanse us and live in us, forever. Yes! It's the most fulfilling thing we can do for our existence.

The cleansing is by the Lord. But we are to do hurling away of the garbages by ourselves, so that God can do the rest.

Until we genuinely do this, we might go to church all through our lives in vain, especially when we're not truly born again.😰

Verses 19 and 20 of same scripture [Amp] says
"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is within you, whom you have [received as a gift] from God, and that you are not your own [property]? You were bought with a price [you were actually purchased with the precious blood of Jesus and made His own]. So then, honor and glorify God with your body."

Indeed, your body is not yours that you can do with it whatever you want and however you like. It was given to you (your spirit man) for you to live in. You will give account of it one day.

Is it that God doesn't want you to enjoy life?

Of course, God truly wants you to enjoy life, just that He wants you to enjoy it the true and right way. You know His blessings never come with sorrow. So trust Him to lead you and you will never regret it.

Love God! Trust God! And Obey God!

Honor and glorify Him with your body.

Remember that you're meant for success, for greatness and for God. Don't accept anything less, for anything less isn't your friend but I'm your friend.

TRUE SUCCESS

My mentor and Leadership Coach, Rume Daniels taught me something about success some time in the past, and he said "Success is the achievement of worthwhile goals".

His description of the word 'goals' resonates with me (worthwhile goals). And that's because someone can set a goal of taking in 10 bottles of alcoholic drink everyday for 2 months and actually achieve it. But would that be a worthwhile goal too?

However, as far as that man is concerned, he's successful. Now, that's judging success our own selfish way.

We often give our opinions and judgements about success without considering God's own perspective of it.

We tell how and who is successful and who is not based on our lean wisdom.

We say "Until you own the latest brand of car and a modern house, you are not successful."

Or we say
"He cannot be mentioned among successful ministers because he only had ten members in his congregation."

As funny as it may sound, God can call a man/woman into the ministry just to save one person who will in turn save generations according to His plans.

We must hence be careful how we measure and mock other's success.

Success to man may not be success to God and vice versa.

In 1 Cor 12: 28, God gave different people different gifts/ appointments; to some He appointed Apostles, Others Prophets, Teachers... To Some He gave the gift of Leadership, others the gift of Help...

In God's eyes, none of these groups is more important than the others. They're all VITAL PARTS of one purpose.

But in the eyes of man, say, the one appointed to be helper is less important. And so the man with the gift of help unconsciously let other people's opinion affect his self esteem negatively, and gloom about life, running away from who he is and trying to be who is not. Trying to fix himself into other positions he would not function well. He seeks to become an Apostle or a Teacher because of the prestige attached, but he doesn't find fulfilment there.

God often points this man to his person and place, but he's so busy being other people and doing other things that he cannot receive the signals from God. He is trying to get man's approval risking God's approval. How sad!😞

To revitalize his partnership with God and live a fulfilling life, he must take a break, and do some reflecting, praying, searching, and finding.

The man finally gets to discover a depth of himself and finds his place. He no longer cares about what people might think and say, and lives his life to the glory of God, always putting God first and desiring to please only Him.

Now, that's what I call true success!

While the illustration may not be related to your walk of life, here's what I'm encouraging us to do;

Whatever it may be, when you discover your gift(s) and that which you're called/born to do, trust God and jump right into action.

While you're at it, learn to ignore naysayers and criticisms, because there will always be distractions. But know that you ALONE will stand before God and give Him accounts after the accounts are closed.

Therefore, whoever you are, be you. And wherever you are be there (Career, Vocation, Profession, Business, Work, Job...). And enjoy every phase of the journey as God would love and lead you to.

It doesn't matter whom and where you are meant to be - you are a very VITAL PART of the work of God. You are equally as important as anybody else in society.

Now, it is while you are at yourself and at your thing that money finds you in varying amounts. To some it comes in huge amounts, to others, not so huge in amounts (But whatever degree at which it comes to you by this time, will always satisfy you). It's this money that you use to get cars, buildings, and other things. And seeing these physical things people begin to say "God has blessed you oh, blessings everywhere!"

No! The physical things are not the blessing. They're merely fruits of the blessing. The blessing is that mystery God has put inside of you which produces the physical things and it is much more important than the physical things themselves.

You see! Success is beyond what you have. It is about who you are.

So focus on you. Focus on your gift(s). Become more valuable. Don't try to be anybody else. The fish never tries to be a bird, neither does the bird tries to be a fish. They're wired uniquely different. You also are wired uniquely different from others. And you are the only you the world will ever have.

Remember that you're meant for success, for greatness and for God. Don't accept anything less, for anything less isn't your friend but I'm your friend.

TRUE MATURITY

When I was much younger, I lived my life with a high tendency to always impress people and was often fastidious. And to me then - a fledgling young adult, that was maturity at its peak.

However, as I grew older and learnt to shift my paradigm, my value system changed and I saw maturity differently at a higher level. And here now is my humble opinion about true maturity.

True maturity is when you shift your focus from desiring to IMPRESS people, to desiring to EXPRESS and IMPACT people.

Impression at its best wears you out, while expression and impact even at their worst, give you a sense of fulfilment and refreshment.

Impression doesn't always lead to expression and impact. But expression and impact always lead to impression.

You don't have to get it mixed up. Just genuinely express to and impact people and you will always impress people.

Media Expert Lady Eumukoro LightRay would often say "Be You and Do You".

That's one of the most concise and powerful pieces of advice on expression and impact that I know. I couldn't have put it simpler and better.

Now we must be careful to also identify that all that we need to learn and imbibe in order to continually develop and become all that we need to become is still part of expression and impact, and not of impression. Matter of fact, they're the fundamentals of expression and impact.

These come by our constant efforts directed towards continuous growth.

There's nothing as fulfilling as truly enjoying life as you live it. No matter where you are in life, 'expressing and impacting' is such a simple, peaceful and relaxing way to live life.

Be you and do you. Don't shy away. Of course sometimes our hands get off the wheel and we shy away. But whenever you do shy away, do well to find the courage to return to finish the fight.

Be you! Do you! And keep growing!

Remember that you're meant for success, greatness and God. Don't accept anything less, for anything less isn't your friend but I'm your friend.

VALUE YOURSELF

If there's one thing I have to say to you about valuing oneself, I have this to say;

Don't sleep or stop sleeping around. The only people who deserve your body are God and your spouse. God respects and places so much value on your body. And when scripture says your body is the temple of the Lord, it doesn't exclude your private parts.

The only person who can get close to respecting your body as much as God respects it is your 'God-given' spouse. Every other person will only devalue your body...

Make that good decision today to help yourself.

Take God seriously and take yourself seriously. Value God and value yourself. Respect God and respect yourself.

Say NO to S*x Before Marriage, Fornication and Adultery. Every poor decision you make in this regard will only make you cheap or cheaper and weaker spiritually. It depends on the kind of spirit that dwells in you though.

There is so much wisdom, wealth and reward in obedience.

Obey!

Love God! Keep yourself! and Trust God!

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF SINGLENESS

Have you ever given the word "Singleness" a careful thought?

Simply put, singleness is the state of being single, which in the context of this piece means being free of Relationship and Marriage pacts.

Your singleness is one of the best phases of your life - an irrecoverable one too. And it could determine either the fulfilment or the destruction of your destiny.

Unfortunately, most people in society frown at this stage of life, even young single people do.

We hear things like "You mean you don't have a boyfriend?" "So you mean no one is servicing that place for you?" (😅And I'm like, 'service which place? Are human beings machines now?')😅 "Why has a fine girl/boy like you decided not to go into a relationship now?" (So fine people cannot live in peace in this world🧐)
"So instead of enjoying your life, you're busy keeping your virginity?" (I wonder what their definition of enjoyment is😢) "When will you have a girlfriend or boyfriend oga/madam/my son/my daughter?" "So you mean I'll stay without s*x for that long?" (Ahh😳, is s*x food for your body sustenance that you can't live without? Your thinking shows how so idle and confused you are).

It's as if it is impossible to stay single or an abomination to be single.

The truth is, singleness is a state to be desired and enjoyed. Because even after you're married, you need to be single (whole) to enjoy your partner and marriage.

It's a stage of life of discovery, adventure (not immoral ones please😀) and venturing. A place in life where you decide to steer your ship in a new direction that will determine if you will be joyous and fulfilled or full of regrets at old age.

I tell you, until you are truly single, and by that I mean without a "boyfriend" or "girlfriend", because their distraction will steal your focus at this stage of life - you can hardly find your purpose in life. Until you find your purpose, you can hardly have a vision protected by discipline in life. And until you have a vision in life, you can hardly enjoy marriage.

Your marriage will be either your prior Heaven or Hell experience on earth depending on your decisions and choices.

Dear young man, don't look for a wife if you haven't got a vision yet in life, because you will frustrate the woman coming into your life. Where will you be leading her to? Or do you want it to be a 'blind man's journey'?

As for you dear lady, do not jump into the marriage truck of any man if you have not learnt how to help a man achieve his vision(s). For that's your original identity as a wife; to be his help meet. (Please, this doesn't mean the man cannot help the woman fulfill God's purposes for her life too. He should...)
Don't wait for a husband if you have not built capacity in this area. And don't go with a man who doesn't have a vision.

As the woman, what value will you be adding to the marriage? Are you going there to be the man and to be a liability? (Because we can't have two men in the marriage)

I urge young people (I'm also a young person😍) to go and learn. To be hungry for knowledge and increase in it.
Read books. Attend conferences, seminars...e.t.c.

As a young man or lady, the right thing to do in your singleness is to first focus on yourself, avoiding or removing every possible distraction. Go and find (discover) yourself first. Then work on that self you have found. That's what you will be carrying into your marriage, nothing extra.

If you have not done these basic things, please don't even go into a relationship because you will miss it😭. As a matter of fact, end that BLIND relationship you are in with that guy or lady NOW (that is if yours is blind... And I bet you, you wouldn't identify it until you are honest with yourself. Because if you're not honest with yourself you won't get true answers from the reflection).

Prioritize the work of working on yourself if you want a good life. And where to begin from in this regard has always been God. Start from knowing God for YOURSELF.

I will round off with a quote I once wrote;

"While you are single, work on yourself to be the possible best version of yourself and continue to prepare. God is too faithful to bring your unprepared way a prepared person and vice versa. All things being equal, you only attract your kind and worth. And you only get what you deserve."

Those who have ears should hear! 😊

And remember that you're meant for success and greatness. You're meant for God. Don't accept anything less, for anything less isn't your friend but I'm your friend. 🤗

BAD CHARACTER

Good character has the capacity to open doors for you...

On the flip side, bad character has the capacity to shut doors for you...

Bad character is like a dirty garment you put on. The more you wear it, the dirtier it becomes and the more it smells. And until you intentionally pull that garment and wash it, you will always be comfortable, because you don't easily smell it yourself, but it will be driving people away from you, including your helpers.

If you want an improved and fulfilled life, you must pull every garment of bad character and wash it. If you don't do it for yourself, no one will.

If you find it difficult to identify the bad character yourself, listen to what others say about it, intentionally ask them if you would.

But funny enough, some people easily get offended whenever someone points a bad character to them. If that's you, I must tell you the truth that you have a very poor mindset.

You should even be grateful to such a person, because it takes love and courage for anyone to do that, especially when it's not solicited.

Pull your dirty and smelly garment and wash it to stay clean and smell nice, so that you can attract great people, the right people, and also be happy with your life.

Your character, your identity.
Your character, your integrity.
Your character, your "holiness".

Remember that you're meant for success and greatness... You're meant for God. Don't accept anything less, for anything less isn't your friend, but I'm your friend.🤗

HIS TRUE IDENTITY

Most of us christians misapprehend the true identity of the Holy Spirit.

When we talk about the Holy Spirit, we almost all the time, begin to paint pictures of doves, fire, wind, e.t.c in our mind.

Shall we together, open scriptures that reveal His true identity?

The Holy Spirit is not a dove. Neither is He fire nor wind. John the baptist prophesied in Matt 3:16 that The Holy Spirit descended on Jesus like a dove. John was only trying to help our imagination. As in, if you want to know how the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus, watch how a dove descends on the ground or a tree from the sky.
But that He descended like a dove doesn't make Him a dove.🤔

For instance, you run like deer doesn't make you one. Jesus also prophesied in Luke 10:18 that He saw satan fall like lightening from Heaven. But I bet, you would barely think of, or say that satan is lightening just because he fall like lightening. In fact, light is a direct opposite of satan. Satan is darkness, and the ruler/king of darkness, so it will be an aberration to say that satan is light or lightening.

So just as satan is not lightening, the Holy Spirit also is not dove, or fire, or wind.

As a matter of fact, we are warned in (Deu. 4:15-17) to not put God in a box - saying He is or looks like an animal, or winged fowl, or this or that... And the Holy Spirit is God.

His true identity:

√The Holy Spirit is God. One of the three persons of the triune God. (1 John 5:7)
"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one."

√The Holy Spirit is a person, a divine person. That's why we can't refer to Him as "it" but "He".
Just as you would use the first person plural "I" so also does the Holy Spirit.
Let's get a reference on this. (Acts 13:2) "While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

Just like us humans, the Holy Spirit, as a person can be aggrieved. (Eph 4:30)NLT - "And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption."

(Isa 63:10) "But they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit; therefore he turned to be their enemy, and himself fought against them."

(Acts 7:51) "You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, so do you."

√The Holy Spirit is the multiplication of Jesus manifest presence on earth. (2 Cor 3:17)"Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."

When Jesus was on the earth, he could only be in one place at a time. But the coming of the Holy Spirit made it possible for Jesus to be in as many places as He wants at a time. No wonder Jesus said to His disciples that it's better He went so that the Holy Spirit would come.

√The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth. (John 16:13)"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth..."

Any truth that doesn't have a connection with the Holy Spirit is dangerous.

√The Holy Spirit is the "Spirit of God" Just as your body has a spirit...

√The Holy Spirit is the power of God. He works with "The Word of God", which is Jesus, to bring the power of God into manifestation. So when God said "Jesus" or let me say "The Word" - "Let there be light". The Holy Spirit immediately work with that and brought the power of God into manifestation, and there was light.

This is why we are urged to pray with The Word of God (All promises and prophecies of God for us). When we do that we give the Holy Spirit the enabling environment to work with The Word and manifest God's power to our advantage.
Even Jesus in human flesh, used The Word.

(Acts 1:8)NIV- "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you..."

(Luke 24:49)NLT- “And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with POWER from heaven.”

Now tell me please, what power do you think that power would be? Yes, you are right. The power of God.

√The Holy Spirit is the one who ushers us into the Kingdom of God and authenticates our Kingdom citizenship. (John 3:5)"Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

To be born of water means to be born the natural way by a human being. Then to be born of the Spirit means to receive the Holy Spirit and allow Him rule over you - you only do what He wants you to do and only say what He wants you to say...

This is why Jesus (The last Adam) had to be born in the natural way and receive the Holy Spirit, so that He could better lead man (me and you) back into the Kingdom of God after man (The first Adam) fell out of the Kingdom of God. So the Holy Spirit is responsible for the restoration of man to his original state.😳👍

√The Holy Spirit is "another" helper, just like Jesus. He helps advance the ministry of Jesus, and helps us who are in that ministry to function effectively and to live righteously in God's Kingdom.

Righteousness simply means to be in right standing with the laws of a government. Meaning, where the law stands is where you stand.
For instance, you are a righteous citizen when you obey traffic, criminal and the other laws of your country's government.😊

In same light, we are righteous as God's Kingdom citizens, when we obey the commands/laws of our King.

So, the Holy Spirit helps us to live in God's Kingdom in righteousness and helps advance the Kingdom. All Kingdom advancements have been by the Holy Spirit indeed.

√The Holy Spirit is the originator of the language of the Kingdom of God.
Jesus came around and left for the Holy Spirit to come around. And when the Holy Spirit came around, He came with a certain language. And people who received Him spoke that language as evidence. (It's important to note that the Holy Spirit has not gone back since He came around).

Besides serving as an evidence, it is this language that enhances adequate and effective communication in the Kingdom.

This language is what we know to be "tongues".

(Acts 2:4)NIV- "All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them".

(Acts 19:6) "And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them, and they spake with tongues, and prophesied."

(1 Corinthians 14:2) "For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God..."

(1 Cor 14:5)"I would like every one of you to speak in tongues..."

(Mark 16:17) "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues."

There's so much to say about the Holy Spirit...

This is the reality in this our family; God's Kingdom and Government.

Our Government is a very unique one. None of her citizens is uncared for. Our government is too responsible to be indifferent and negligent. As Kingdom citizens we operate differently. We are in the world, but not of the world. Our source is different. Success for us is sure. This is the secret that gives us advantage. And this is why we are more than conquerors.

And please remember that you're meant for success and greatness.... You're meant for God. Don't accept anything less. Anything less isn't your friend, but I'm your friend. 🤗
