From University of Calabar
TESTIMONY OF SURVIVAL:
MY PROMISEβ¦ π₯ΉπποΈ
Yesterday, I sign out as a graduate.
But this is not just a sign-out post.
This is a testimony.
This is a story of pain, survival, faith, loss, and grace.
First, I give all the glory to God Almighty.
God, You know the road I travelled to get here.
You saw the nights I cried.
You saw the moments I was afraid.
You saw the battles nobody knew about.
You saw me when I was weak, broken and tired.
There were moments I thought I would never make it here.
Appendicitis came, Hernia came.
Two major operations, I survived.
I missed an entire semester's examinations, i fell behind, i watched life move on while I struggled to find my feet again.
There was a time I almost gave up completely.
But somehow, God kept breathing strength into me.
And today, I am standing here.
A GRADUATE. ππ
To the girl who died countless times and came back to life...
This is for you.
To the girl who broke down and still got back up.
To the girl who cried until there were no more tears, yet woke up the next morning and continued.
To the girl who almost lost hope but refused to let her story end there.
To the girl who looked at her circumstances and wondered, "Will I ever make it?"
Look at you now.
You are still here.
You survived.
You made it.
And today, you are a graduate.
DADDY AND MOMMYβ¦ β€οΈ
There is one memory I will never forget.
I remember lying on that hospital bed.
I remember seeing the fear in your eyes.
I remember knowing how scared you were.
And I remember looking at you and saying:
"Daddy, Mommy, don't worry. Don't cry. I will make you proud. I will graduate, i will not give up, i will survive this. And you will come to my sign-out."
Those words were spoken from a hospital bed..............................................................................
Dear, You may not really know us in person, but your journey through school is so touching !
