‎It is with deep sadness and a profound sense of loss that the Department announces the passing of our beloved retired professor, Professor Anthony C. Okonkwo. Prof. Okonkwo served this department with exceptional dedication, wisdom, and integrity throughout his distinguished career, leaving behind an enduring legacy that will continue to inspire generations of students and scholars. In honour of his memory and in recognition of his immeasurable contributions to academic excellence, a Commendation Service will be held to celebrate his life and pay our final respects.

‎All students, undergraduates from 100 level to 500 level are strongly encouraged and warmly invited to attend this solemn occasion. ASSAN UNIUYO leaders paid a courtesy visit to our new Head of Department, Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Uyo.

During the visit, we discussed key issues affecting our department and explored ways to move forward. Our HOD, Dr.Unah assured us of her commitment to taking the department to greater heights.
