JAMB MANDATES MICROSOFT-CERTIFIED CAMERAS FOR 2026 UTME REGISTRATION:

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new directive requiring all Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers to utilize Microsoft-certified cameras for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration. This move aims to enhance the security and integrity of the examination process by improving identity verification and preventing malpractice.

NB: CBT centers that fail to comply with the directive risk losing their accreditation. JAMB therefore, vowed to closely monitor CBT centers to ensure adherence to the new requirements.

This development is expected to improve the overall credibility and transparency of the 2026 UTME registration process.

JAMB MANDATES USE OF MICROSOFT CAMERA FOR 2026 UTME REGISTRATION

As part of preparations for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reiterated that the use of Microsoft Camera is now mandatory for all Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres handling candidate registration.

The new directive follows a review of the 2025 UTME, where some CBT centres were found to have engaged in image blending to aid impersonation and other examination malpractices.

The introduction of the Microsoft Camera system is part of JAMB’s effort to strengthen identity verification and ensure the integrity of its registration process.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has updated the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) for the 2025/2026 academic session. Candidates are strongly advised to regularly log in to JAMB CAPS to confirm your admission status.

ACCEPT OR REJECT OFFER: Promptly accept or reject your admission offer within four weeks of being offered admission (4 WEEKS VALIDITY). Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the offer.

NB: JAMB CAPS serves as the sole confirmation source for some institutions that don't release admission lists on their official websites or notice boards.

PHASE ONE OF ADMISSIONS CONFIRMATION:

The JAMB CAPS admission list for the 2025/2026 academic session has been updated. All candidates are advised to monitor their admission status regularly to know when they have been offered admission.

Once a candidate is offered admission on JAMB CAPS, they are required to take one of two actions: accept the admission or reject it.

Please note: Some institutions may not publish admission lists on their official websites or notice boards. For such schools, JAMB CAPS may be the only way to know if you've been admitted.
