4 Saturdays. One skill. So much growth. 🧡
Over the last 4 Saturdays, I had the privilege of training students at the University of Uyo Centre for Skills Acquisition as part of their Entrepreneurial Studies course.
They came to learn.
They drafted. ✏️
They cut. ✂️
They sewed. 🧵
They made mistakes, asked questions, tried again—and kept going.
And within just 4 Saturdays, they were able to create their own shirts and pants! 🎉
This is what hands-on learning can do when young people are given the right guidance, patience and opportunity to practise.
I'm so proud of how far they came, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to not only teach them a skill but also speak to them about purpose, identity and making intentional choices for their future. 🧡
Skills are seeds. With practice, they can become a future. 🌱
