Kings and Queens Schools is employing professional teachers with the following qualifications B. Ed. Pre primary / Primary education and other Subject Areas B.Sc, BA, M.Ed and M.Sc in the following subject areas ; Mathematics, Computer Science, English Language/ Literature in English, Christian Religious Knowledge, Efik/Ibibio, Basic Technology, Fine/Creative Arts, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, French, Social studies

Curfew announcement 9pm 22nd October,2020- 1200 23rd October,2020

Due to the violent manifestations of some persons masquerading as protesters trying to create chaos this evening, in Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom state, HE the Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has declared a curfew effective 9pm today, Thursday, 22nd October,2020 till midday tomorrow, Friday, 23rd October, 2020.

This action is taken to protect lives and property of citizens and the restoration of Law and Order in our state. Within the period of this curfew, there will be an absolute cessation of movement, except for essential service providers, who must show a valid means of identification.

We urge all law abiding citizens to stay at home during the period of this curfew.

HEALTH AWARENESS ROAD WALK
Kings and Queens Nursery/ Primary School and Kings and Queens High School colaborates in organising a Health Awareness Road Walk aimed at creating awareness about LASSA FEVER and CORONAVIRUS.

This initiative was supported by KINGS AND QUEENS FOUNDATION and some medical practitioners led by Dr. Aniekeme Uwah a reputable Virologist.
The children were informed adequately about the two killer diseases and exposed to practical methods to avoid being infected and personal hygiene.

Furthermore, the children went on a Road Walk/ Campaign to the immediate Community of Ewet Housing Estate and to AkpanAndem Market, Uyo in Akwa Ibom State. Here they disseminated information and shared knowledge about the Virus with traders.
The Children observed the unsuitable environmental condition of the market and classified it as unhealthy and this could lead to an epidemic if not checked in time. The market environment is a place that attracts many citizens who go to buy and sell and therefore sensitized both the traders and buyers on keeping the environment and their wares clean. They also called on the authority to evacuate the waste piled up by the traders as it is a good breeding ground for rodents.

We look forward to continuing this awareness Campaign and encourage others to be part of keeping our environment clean and safe to avoid any epidemic.
We must cultivate strategies to living a healthy life and free from Sickness.
