Thank you Sister Deniece F. Russell for posting this photo of Mr. Bradley and myself. Meeting Mr. Bradley was one of my proudest moments since I started my PlanNet Marketing business a little over a month ago. As the founder of PlanNet Marketing, with its 140,000 representative that have also started their own businesses, Mr. Bradley is helping those people, many who are Africans and people of African descent to live, work and strive to reach their full potential. Mr. Bradleys talk, along with the speeches by other millionaires at that meeting was not only inspiring, but designed to empower people through this PlanNet Marketing Opportunity. Some times too many of us only have as Emenem sang, "You only Got One Shot", and only one opportunity to make something out of yourself, so as not to live and then go out of this life "as a worm", with no legacy to leave the next generation. PlanNet Marketing is not offering JOB's (Just Over Broke) but an opportunity to start and run a business from your home. Some in their businesses have already achieved a life style that has exceeded anything they had ever imagined because they took advantage of this opportunity. In PlanNet Marketing they had coaches, that showed them that they were "Unstoppable." The Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey wrote, in 1937, "In your desire to accomplish greatness, you must first decide in your own mind in what direction you desire to seek that greatness, and when you have so decided in your own mind, work unceasingly toward it. If the readers of this have not already decided how they will accomplish greatness, and if given an opportunity, they can imagine working relentlessly, contact me via email: [email protected] and I will enroll you, if you qualify, in PlanNet Marketing within seventy two hours. See you all at the Tip Top.

By Shaka Barak: President of The Marcus Garvey Institute
UNIA & ACL First Vice President Garvey/Nkrumah Memorial Progressive Division 429
Former UNIA & ACL Minister of Education, Former Third Assistant President General, Former Candidate for President General, Graduate of the Course of African Philosophy, Lead Facilitator of Garveyism Education at the Marcus Garvey Drillers Foundation Schools in Nigeria, Co-facilitator of virtual Education on the History of the UNIA & ACL

The Honorable Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. (Born November 20, 1942) the forty-six President of the United States of America, on January 19, 2025 Posthumously Pardons the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey (Born August 17, 1887, Died June 10, 1940). He gave deserving posthumous justice, for the Jamaican born, founder and first elected President General (August 1920) of the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League (UNIA & ACL founded July 20, 1914) with this pardon. The first reasons he deserved a Pardon was that for twenty-eight years the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey served as an honest, truthful and self-less, elected, not self appointed, leader of the UNIA & ACL. Secondly, the UNIA & ACL is a social, friendly, humanitarian, charitable, educational, institutional, constructive and expansive society" (UNIA & ACL Constitutions Preamble), believing in the brotherhood and sisterhood of men and women and the "Fatherhood of God". Thirdly, his work world-wide guiding Africans and People of African descent into a confraternity of 400 million, is now 1.7 billion people who still need his teaching to inspire us. He was not a man of hate but dedicated to promoting pride, love, and nationhood, leading to the first and largest mass movement of Black people in the United States, earning him the title for centuries to come, as the "Father of Black Nationalism." He organized six million Black people into the UNIA & ACL under the motto of One God One Aim One Destiny, before he was wrongly imprisoned, which is more than 15th U.S. President Abraham Lincoln (Born February 12, 1809, Died April 15, 1865) emancipated from enslavement with his signing of the Emancipation Proclamation January 1, 1863, and the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution.
Encouraging President Joe Biden to sign this Pardon, less than a week before he left office, were many known and unknown men and women who are among those who for over 40 years have campaigned, wrote research papers, circulated petitions and marched on the streets in major cities of the United States to prove his innocents and earn his Pardon. I will start with my mentor the Antigua born, Dr. Charles L. James (Born April 26, 1905, Died August 16, 1990) the highest graduate of the first class of the 'Course of African Philosophy' taught directly by the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey in 1937. In 1947 Dr. James co-founded the Isaiah Morter Division 401, then in 1974 he formed another Division of the UNIA & ACL in Chicago called the Garvey/Nkrumah Memorial Progressive Division 429 which he served as President and I as his student until his last days. I met him in 1975 shortly before he succeeded President General Thomas W. Harvey and then go on to serve as President General from 1978 until his passing at age eighty-five in 1990. As the Editor of the 'Garvey's Voice' newspaper published in Chicago, Mr. James replicated the 'Negro World' and 'Black Man Magazine' once published by the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey. He put regular reports in the paper that mentioned all efforts towards the exoneration and pardon of the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey and his philosophy.
1. The 'Garvey's Voice' reported how Senator Jesse Helms (born Oct. 18, 1921, died July 4, 2008) wrote about connecting the call for a Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. National holiday with a Pardon for the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey (Amendment number 2339). Around October 18, 1983 Helms wrote, "Among the many things that were done in connection with the King debate, I submitted an amendment, which unfortunately was rejected to posthumously recommend granting a pardon to Marcus Garvey.
Excerpts from the Congressional record shows Senator Helms writing in section 3., "Since Marcus Garvey is known as the Father of Black Nationalism; and Since Marcus Garvey was a major leader in the development in the United States of Black consciousness; and Since the conviction of Marcus Garvey in 1923 occurred in an atmosphere charged with emotionalism and publicity; and Since the excessiveness of the sentence was recognized by President Coolidge in 1927 in commuting that sentence; "Therefore, let it be stated that it is the sense of Congress that the President should remove this cloud over the reputation of Marcus Garvey by granting a full pardon of any crimes of which he may have been convicted." That was followed by John Conyers and Congressman Charles Rangel submitted a resolution for the exoneration of the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey. The City Commission of the City of Lauderhill submitted a resolution for his pardon. The Court of Common Council of the city of Hartford submitted a resolution for his pardon. The youngest son Dr. Garvey, a cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon organized the Justice4Garvey movement around 2016 aimed at getting his father posthumously exonerated while also keeping intact the unwavering pride of the Garvey name.
Had this full and unconditional pardon taken place while the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey lived, when it should have, then as a second generation student of the 'Course of African Philosophy, I can imagine: four-hundred million Africans and people of African descent would be crying tears of joy; at over 1400 Liberty-Halls filled with Division and Chapter members of the UNIA & ACL world wide waving their red, black and green flags; Church-bells would be heard ringing from every African Orthodox Church and Cathedral in every country; a Twenty-One-Gun Salute often reserved for heads of state by the Universal African Legions firing canons in cities with large African populations; out of universal respect, every private and public school, academy, college and university housing black youth would be closed; the next business day of the week January 20th would be treated like a national holiday with parades in every major city; and his loyal and faithful 2nd wife Amy Jacques Garvey and their two little boys, Marcus Garvey lll, and Julius Winston Garvey would be ushered into a waiting motorcade driven by the women of the Universal African Motor Corps.
Lastly, the two sons the late Hon. Marcus Garvey Jr., UNIA & ACL President General and the youngest son Dr. Julius Winston Garvey, have never stopped trying to gain a Pardon for their father. Likewise, hats off to U.S. Rep. Yvette D. Clark (D-NY) for all the efforts with House Resolution 148 and that she has made and will make along with Dr. Julius Garvey to get an exoneration for the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey. As momentum continues to grow with more and more desiring to clear his father’s name, Dr. Garvey counts on U.S. Rep. Yvette Clarke and the rest of us to continue in this noble work with him.
With the tint of criminality lifted off of him by the Pardon from the President of the United States, and the President of Jamaica where he was also once falsely arrested, showing in both cases he was wrongfully arrested and imprisoned, a new course and direction will produce a different reality to what we see today. First, the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey's second generation of students of the Course of African Philosophy taught first taught in 1937 will be reminded of what he said about his mission from the 'High God' and look in the Holy Bible, Matthew Chapter 28: 19-20, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." I can imagine preparations for an International Convention in Africa, by the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey's students and his grand children as great and broadly participated in as was done at the first International convention in the year 1920. We will have to put together a $2,000,000,000 budget to launch the program of African Redemption, African Unification and the fulfilling of the slogan, "Africa For The Africans, Those At Home And those Abroad.' Our UNIA & ACL membership will have to rise to 200 million members working in 20,000 UNIA & ACL Divisions in the next 10 years.

Dear Africans at Home and Abroad

I was pleased to read this great Christmas Message. Every year on Christmas morning I read the Jamaican born, Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey's (b. August 17, 1887, d. June 10, 1940) "Christmas Message To The Negro Peoples of the World", written December 1921, in The Philosophy and Opinions of Marcus Garvey, Volume 1, pages 83-86. As a member of the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League (UNIA) founded by the Godly man, the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey, I am thankful to God for my many blessings. I'm thankful for being able to write to the fellow members of the African race.
I have also been blessed to have read many things that were written by the founding Patriarch of the African Orthodox Church the Most Reverend Arch Bishop George Alexander McGuire, who I consider among other things a true and self described "Disciple" of the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey. Many people may only see the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey from a secular point of view and not realize how spiritual he was. He was so spiritual that thousands of religious men and women considered themselves his followers although he was not the head of a church.
I will share a few facts about his early life that may help us to better understand his religious up bringing, background and influences. 1. His mother Sarah Jane Richards Garvey was a devote Christian. She and her husband Marcus Sr. attended church on a regular basis. Their close neighbor was a Pastor of a church. 2. He was taught by four eminent Preachers. 3. He gave the UNIA & ACL its motto of One God One Aim One Destiny. 4. He came to the United States in the year 1916, a year after Booker T. Washington died testifying that he had a "Mission from the High God." 5. If it were not for his commitment to serve the political and nationhood objective of the UNIA, he would walked the earth in the image of Jesus Christ, like a Preacher. 6. He taught in essay 'African Fundamentalism', that the order of our allegiance shall be to "your God, family, race and country." 7. He also taught in that essay "Never Forget your God" and that "God and nature first made us what we are..." He taught us to believe in the "Fatherhood of God."
When I first saw a picture of Christ the baby and his mother Mary shown as Black Africans, it reminded me of how often this image was placed before UNIA groups, crowds, and in its parades during the time when the Most Reverend McGuire served as Chaplain General of the UNIA. I am further impressed by how as Chaplain General, Reverend McGuire, while with the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey's approval for opening and closing UNIA meetings, he put together our UNIA Rituals and Prayers. These prayers asked God to guide our leadership and teaches how Africans in Egypt sheltered the baby Jesus when wicked men sought his life. He taught how a Black man by the name of Simon the Cyrenian, helped Jesus during his mortal weakness, by helping him carry the cross up Mount Calvary upon this Africans shoulders.
The UNIA constitution and by-laws insured that the juveniles would be taught those same rituals, prayers, the Holy Bible and spiritual songs. In the Honorable Marcus Garvey's last class in the School of African Philosophy he taught that UNIA leaders should read a chapter of the Bible daily, Old and New Testaments.
The Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey never wanted UNIA members to attack the church and anyone caught doing that are not followers of his or to be considered Garveyites. I will be paying a visit to the African Orthodox Church here in Chicago, which was the Church of my mentor and teacher of African Philosophy, the Honorable Dr. Charles L. James, former President General of the UNIA. I will keep all of my race in my prayers as I leave you in the saying of our UNIA Motto, One God One Aim One Destiny

Sincerely Yours

A Message to the Haitian Leadership "Haiti For The Haitians!" Part II.
By Shaka Barak, President The Marcus Garvey Institute
1st Vice President UNIA Garvey/Nkrumah Memorial Progressive Division #429
Being warriors is in the blood of Haitians

Dear President of Kenya Honorable William Rufo,

Thank you for stepping up as a head of state, and helping to bring an end to Gang violence in the country of Haiti. We also thank the leaders of the countries of Jamaica President Andrew Holness, Bangladash PM. Sheikh Hasina, Bahama PM. Philip Davis, Benin President Patrice Talon, Chad President Mahamat Idriss Deby, Antigua and Baruba PM. Gaston Browne that wil be assisting the effort.
The Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League (UNIA) founded by the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey (b. August 17, 1887 - d. June 10, 1940) offer you this letter of encouragement in your efforts to bring order and peace in the nation of Haiti. We do so because we know others have tried and failed to end this crisis but we want you to get the victory, with as little blood shed on either side as necessary. We are here in the city of Chicago, Il. United States of America and we do not have boots on the ground but we have attempted to gather some facts that has allowed us to write to you our humble ideas of how to pursue this effort at peace. We also have had twenty years of work pursuing peace on the streets of Chicago and other major cities.
We know that there are 150 -200 gangs in Haiti. the top two are: The first — the G9 Family and Allies alliance, or simply G9 — is led by Jimmy “Barbecue” Cherizier, a former Haitian police officer who is accused of gang alliance of committing atrocities, including killings and r**e. The second major Gang leader is GPep, led by Gabriel Jean-Pierre, also known as Ti Gabriel. He was the leader of a gang called Nan Brooklyn before the creation of G-Pep, which has been based in Port-au-Prince’s impoverished Cite Soleil district. In the next article we will be submitting twelve ideas in the hope that something can be taken from them to help with this peace effort.

In the blood and DNA of the Gang leaders of Haiti, flows the blood of Haiti's founders, General Toussaint L'Ouverture (20 May 1743-7April 1803) and General Jean-Jacques Dessalines (born c. 1758, West Africa—died October 17, 1806), just to name the two most significant ones. One hundred and sixteen years ago in 1804 Haiti became independent. The march to freedom began on August 22, 1791 when the enslaved had a cause that they were willing to risk their lives to achieve. For 13 years they were willing to fight, to kill and if need be, to die for that cause. THAT CAUSE WAS FREEDOM! METHOD WAS REVOLUTION! These were the men who in our history hold the highest place as hero's among men when they after over 12 years of fighting they were able to declare independence on January 1, 1804. As you can see, there is a great difference between those who fight for revolutionary causes and those who fight just to 'eat'.
Today you may not care what the political leaders, the police, your parents, or preachers have to say. However, you may be interested in what message has come down to you from those founding fathers. What would Toussaint, and Jean-Jacques be saying to the Haitian gangs today, if they could. They certainly would not tell them to result to their basic animal instincts and r**e African women. They would not tell you to murder innocent men and women. They would not tell you to kidnap people and hold them for ransom. They would tell you to help Haiti hold on to its freedom and the cause they fought and died for rather than let Haiti become a failed state.

Peace is the answer! We need you to know that you must prepare for peace that must come at the end of all battles. Only through peace can Haiti return to normal and grow and prosper. They would cry out to this generation about the suffering and the dying done to pass on to future generations a nation that they could live free in. If the problem in Haiti is Gang rivalry, then peace is the answer brought about through a comprehensive plan for peace that all opposition can agree to. This goal of peace is achievable although not something everyone desires of course. I suggest that there are some who don't want peace. First, there are some who would rather drop bombs on Haiti and wipe out the whole population of men, women and children. Second, there are others would like to send in a large group of soldiers that would move from house to house arresting or shooting to death everyone who resisted. Third, there are those that would just like Haiti to devour its elders, women and children into utter hopelessness and into a failed government. Fortunately, there are some of us who want peace and justice for Haiti and its people. Some crimes can not and will never be forgiven because they were based on greed. You have to pay for that. In war their are war crimes and those who commit them must and will be punished. Look for part III soon.

A Message to the Haitian Leadership "Haiti For The Haitians!" Part I.
By Shaka Barak, President The Marcus Garvey Institute
1st Vice President UNIA Garvey/Nkrumah Memorial Progressive Division #429

Dear Ambassador's of Jamaica, Bahamas, Bangladash, Antiqua and Baruba and Chad,
We in the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League (UNIA), founded by the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey (b. August 17, 1887, d. June 10, 1940) are praying for your success and that of the new Prime Minister Garry Conille, in the attempt to bring peace to Haiti. The Haitian population is almost entirely descended from enslaved Africans. Its population of 11.12 million people have derived from various areas in West Africa spanning from Senegal to the Congo. The UNIA promotes the spirit of pride and love so we care about the people of Haiti. We seek "to assist in the development of independent African nations and communities," so we are fully aware that the governments of Kenya, Bahamas, Bangladash, Jamaica, Chad, Antigua and Baruba are planning an attempt to restore order in Haiti. We encourage them. The people of Haiti have been suffering for years so we hope we can encourage those nations to approach Haiti in a way that can soften the field of conflict. We sympathize with the country of Haiti where half its population has been in need of economic, educational, social, and charitable assistance for decades. We hope the nations involved in restoring order there will try using the carrot before the stick and thereby minimize harm to civilians. Haiti for the Haitians!
Haitian people are a people with a glorious history and in spite of the growing crime, they are a nation with great possibilities. It is known as the "Pearl of the Caribbean." It has natural resources such as oil, natural gas, marble, gold, copper, and limestone and with proper help in its development it can be strengthened beyond our expectations. At 10,710 sq. mi. Haiti is the third largest country in the Caribbean behind Cuba and the Dominican Republic. Compared in size to African countries it is close in size to Rwanda, and in the Caribbean it is twice the size of the nation of Jamaica. We have created this analysis so that leaders everywhere will read it and can reason with its ideas that Haiti can be put back on her feet and once there be so driven that Haiti will not only pay those nations back who helped her in her time of need, but never again need that type of assistance due to some fault of there own. Haiti must be like unto the grown child that leaves from under his or her parents home to stand on his or her own two feet for the balance of their lives. If Chad, Kenya, Bahama, Bangladash and Antiqua helps Haiti, the hope is that one day soon Haiti will return the favor. When order in Haiti is restored with a renewed work ethic, the same youth that is destroying Haiti can go to work getting those factories in Haiti buzzing and humming so they can give back to the nation they once harmed. All those countries that help Haiti have products they need to sell and products they need to buy. We say 'a fair exchange is no robbery.' How soon will it take Haitians to get their stuff up and running. Haiti lost 130,000 buildings in the earthquake. All those friendly nations can get those buildings up in less than two years, and train Haitian youth in construction while they are doing it. Haiti for the Haitians!

What the estimated 150-200 Gangs have done in the country of Haiti is "the shot heard around the world." Those young men have done many things in Haiti that are similar to the African American Gang leaders of 'street organizations' or 'street tribes', from the streets of the city of Chicago. Might I add that Haitian Gangs also resemble the Gangs that have been known to reside in Chicago years ago that were the Irish, Italian and Polish Gangs. Almost every race and major city has had youth organizations, that often started out with a good purpose like keeping peace in the communities or simply trying to "Eat" like the upper and middle classes were eating. When we look back on these Gang leaders they were young and in need of elders to guide them when it became time to become men ready and able to face their responsibilities. Its time for the Haitians abroad to think of returning to Haiti and making it the great nation its founders had in mind for it. Haiti for the Haitians!
