Edidiong Joseph Umoafia, An ex student of Fulga International College has delivered a gold medal for Nigeria at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

The Nigerian weightlifting star claimed gold in the men’s 71kg event, giving Team Nigeria its fourth gold medal of the Games.

Umoafia finished top of the standings ahead of John Lautafi Tafi of Samoa and Ezekiel Moses of Nauru after another dominant display on the platform.
