100 DAYS OF SERVICE TO UUMSA
Dear UUMSAITES, on the 16th January, 2026, the 16th Administration took an oath to serve you all, and it has been 100 days in Office so far. All thanks to God Almighty, for His unending faithfulness. May His name be forever praised.
This journey of service has been quite eventful, thoroughly engaging, but importantly, we have continued to unreservedly commit ourselves towards the growth and development of the Association.
I deeply appreciate the supports of the College Management, under the Leadership of Prof. Dianabasi Eduwem, the Dean, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, Prof. Uwemedibuk Smart Ekanem, CMD UUTH , Prof. Emem Bassey, Lecturers, Trainers, Patrons, Chiefs, Faculty Presidents Forum, University of Uyo, Colleagues etc.
Attached are the above-listed projects and events we have undertaken as responsibilities while we look forward to doing more with your supports.
However, I specially commend the efforts of the Executive Members, because all of the above-mentioned events or projects have been sponsored from personal funding, as the Budget is yet to be passed to access funding and also, full ex*****on of other events.
Nonetheless, our commitments towards serving our Dear Association, UUMSA and UUMSAITES will remain foremost for us still.
Finally, I appeal for our maximum supports and cooperation going forward, so that we can together take the Association to enviable heights.

She walked into halls where dreams are tested,
where pressure speaks louder than words,
and where only the relentless survive.
Through nights that refused to end,
through books that felt heavier than sleep,
through moments of doubt that whispered “not enough”
she answered, again and again, with quiet determination.
Dr. Edidiong Gabriel Inyang.
A name not just written,
but earned, line by line, sacrifice by sacrifice.
“Overall Best Graduating Student”
Overall Best Female Student.
Distinction in Surgery.
Distinction in Community Medicine.
Best Graduating Student in Surgery.
Best in Family Medicine.
Best in Anesthesiology.
These are not just titles
they are the echoes of consistency,
the evidence of discipline,
the reward of a mind that refused to settle.
While the world slept, she studied.
While others paused, she pressed on.
While many hoped, she prepared.
And now she stands, not by chance,
but by choice, the choice to keep going when it hurt,
to rise when it was hard,
to believe when it seemed impossible.
She did not just pass through medical school —
she mastered it.
A force.
A standard.
A story of excellence that will be told long after this moment.
Dr. Edidiong Gabriel Inyang,
where brilliance meets purpose,
and excellence becomes inevitable. 🩺✨
