MY OIL WELLS
I inherited traits from both of my parents.
My mother was a good cook and a teacher. I picked up both talents.
My mother was strong willed and entrepreneurial. I picked up these too.
My father was an advocate, he would go all out to speak for anyone marginalized. I picked up that.
My father was also a writer, he kept records of happenings, projects, the guy was writing, he had files upon files of things, omo! I picked up that o.
This is where I picked up the three Sparks on which my business enterprises is built.
I joined the choir immediately after secondary school and choir rehearsals became the moment I lived for. I started writing songs, there didn't seem to be anything I was going to use those songs for, I kept writing anyways.
While waiting to go for the national youth service, I worked. My boss encouraged me to send in one of my songs for the Voice of Africa Competition hosted by BBC.
Like play like play the song I sent in turned out to be the winning entry, my song came first out of 30,000 entries.
Sometimes the thing you rate the least is the very thing that God uses to launch your turning point.
You see those things you never get tired of doing?
They are your oil wells.
Pay attention to them, give them a platform.
Don't be discouraged by your age o, believe me it is never too late.
A coach taught me years ago, all that you have is all that you need to get all that you want.
Everything you are groaning about has a permanent solution in something you have.
What oil well have you left dormant?
Diary of a visionary.
