BTS summit will emphasize the benefits of young people's involvement in advocacy and other social programs and to inspire them to think beyond the scope of their respective training and experience, to identify their strength and harness their knowledge to engage in leadership as well as community development programs with the hope of sustainable outcomes.

National Association Of AkwaIbom Medical Students responded to a courtesy call by his member and a newly appointed Personal Assistant To The Executive Governor Of Akwa Ibom State On Students' Affairs, Comr Wisdom Emmanuel

Presenting a goodwill message, letter of congratulations and acknowledging this deserving appointment, the medical students' community appreciates His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno, the executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State for trusting and believing in the association through her member's appointment. This decision further reiterates his commitment to building long lasting and impactful bridges that connect the social gaps among the young professionals and the state government.

Asthma is a major noncommunicable disease (NCD), affecting both children and adults, and is the most common chronic disease among children.

Asthma is often under-diagnosed and under-treated, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.

People with under-treated asthma can suffer sleep disturbance, tiredness during the day, and poor concentration. Asthma sufferers and their families may miss school and work, with financial impact on the family and wider community. If symptoms are severe, people with asthma may need to receive emergency health care and they may be admitted to hospital for treatment and monitoring. In the most severe cases, asthma can lead to death.
