.. As Church Acquires New Property for School Expansion

Months after the establishment of a kiddies school by The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Uyo Field, licence has been granted by the Akwa Ibom State Government for the school to operate a model school, having met standard requirements expected of it.

At the official dedication of the school, The Apostolic Church Model School (TACMOS), the Uyo Field Superintendent of the church, Pastor I. N. George, Ph.D, Monday April 26, 2021, announced that the state government has granted the school 'Authority To Operate' (ATO) as the school has met stipulated requirements to operate a Nursery School while that of the primary and secondary education is underway.

Pastor George said the church council is satisfied with the management board and staff of the school for entrenching high standards and meeting contemporary best practices in basic education management and service delivery. He noted that the church is interested in contributing to the making of a good society through proper basic education.

Expressing optimism in the growth of the school, the Field Superintendent announced that the church has acquired a landed property to erect a permanent and befitting structure for the school. He explained that the school had to be temporarily housed in the Amos Metz Ikpe Memorial Building at the field secretariat, which it occupies the ground and the first floors of the three-storey edifice.

In her remark, the Head Teacher of TACMOS, Mrs Comfort Anselem, appreciated the Field Superintendent and church council for what she termed "visionary leadership" and the efforts invested to birth the school, holding that the school under her headship will not compromise on professionalism, but will stay on the path on excellence. While assuring parents of value for every fee paid, she pointed that the school offers qualitative education at affordable fee.

At the dedication of the school, prayers were offered for the management, staff and pupils, presentation of educational materials by Obio Imo Assembly Education Committee, as well as facility tour by the church council members.
