I congratulate Mr Seyi Tinubu on his installation as Okanlomo of Yorubaland. Not only is he an Omoluabi atata, but he has also demonstrated great prowess in building bridges among people, places, and institutions, a trait the Nigerian nation is in dire need of.
To those who do not know what Okanlomo means, it refers to a unique child, specifically an offspring of destiny.
And if you look at what Mr Seyi Tinubu has achieved, from his strides in business, to his charitable and philanthropic outreaches across the nation, which, unlike some others, have been ongoing for decades, and did not start during election cycles, to his respect for elders, despite his noble birth and distinguished pedigree, you will agree with the Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abimbola Owoade, that the younger Tinubu is a child of Providence and a bearer of fate.
On behalf of my family, I felicitate with Mr Seyi Tinubu on this well-deserved chieftaincy title, and I urge Nigerian youths to emulate Mr Tinubu's commitment to the Nigerian nation.
Many of our young people struggle with various challenges. At times like this, it is fitting and timely that nature throws up one of their number to be a torchbearer that they can gravitate to and be guided, like a ship is led to land on a dark and stormy night by the comforting light radiated by a lighthouse on the shore.
By exuding assurance without arrogance, Mr Tinubu continues to influence younger people to be more responsible, including and especially the children of those in high authority.
My prayer is that there will be many more people like him in the Nigeria of the future.
Congratulations Sir Barrister Seyi Tinubu Okanlomo of Yorubaland..
